I am from out of town and wanted a good cheesesteak. This place popped up on a google search. I should’ve known the minute I started ordering my food. The cashier had an attitude because we were adding and changing our minds about what type of sandwich to get. She kept huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes. I originally asked for a chicken Philly but when scanning the speciality sandwiches we saw one that had all the fixings we wanted. So I’m assuming I’m getting the chicken Philly with the fixings that comes with the speciality sandwich. The sandwich arrives and it’s beef. I inform the girl we asked for chicken. She tries to find the chef with no luck. They ask do I have the ticket, which I didn’t. Fast forward she comes bk to the table and says you ordered the long hots which is beef. I said but you heard me ask for chicken. She continues to argue with me stating she didn’t know I still wanted the chicken. I tell her as someone who works here she should’ve asked if she was unclear. I ask to speak to a manager because I wanted a refund. She tells me the normal manager isn’t in and the other lady doesn’t know English- I hear the cashier speaking to the “manager” in her native language. Cashier returns and says: she said no to the refund. I asked to speak with the supposed no English speaking manager because it’s unprofessional to not have a manager on site during regular business hours and then have second in command “not speak English.” Manager never came out but I received the refund for the sandwich. Completely dissatisfied with the customer service. I will never eat here again when I’m town. Ps the food didn’t look that good anyway and the gentleman’s food behind us was also incorrect. Read moreUPDATE: One thing I can say for sure about Johnny Longhots is the customer service and dealing with problems that arise is OUTSTANDING!! Brian reached out to me after my disappointing night and I can say he was MORE than accommodating! He reassured me to give this place another shot and I can honestly say I’m glad I did! The garlic parm wings are absolutely delicious and my cheesesteak was PERFECT this time around! The care and appreciation Brian puts into his customers has really drawn me to Johnny Longhots and I will surely be a loyal customer going forward! I cannot thank you enough Brian for your service. Absolutely incredible. I’m so impressed!!!
After trying this place for the first time last night, I will NOT be returning. The place seemed decent upon entry but after an extended wait for take out and then to find out the food was sitting on top of the oven for about 15 minutes. No one called my name or told me the order was ready I just happened to notice the bag with my name on it. The bag wasnt even warm and when I got home and opened it I found my cheesesteak hoagie to be a PLAIN dried up cheesesteak with very little meat and cheese. Read moreAlex (the pizza maker) should be promoted to manager. I placed an order through DoorDash which arrived incorrect. I ordered a Chicken Cheese Steak, but received a Beef Cheese Steak. I first called DoorDash and they told me that I would receive a credit or refund because the store was no longer accepting delivery orders (website says they close at 930pm and I contacted DoorDash [chat] at 712pm). Then I called the Johnny Longhots store in Deptford; someone put me on the phone with Alex "the pizza maker" after I explained my situation. I told Alex that I don't eat beef, was hungry, and just wanted my food. He looked at my order and admitted that it was cooked wrong, understood my woes, and sprung into action. Alex had my order cooked again, and arranged for an employee to deliver my food to the hotel I'm staying at. Food arrived by 740pm. Thanks Alex for being amazing.
