Edit 10/6/23: And, I'm taking it down to 1 star and adding this edit. I was promised in their response to this review that this location is under new management and working to resolve issues. But now one of my good friends has to deal with nonsense after getting ripped off on the catering service. In trying to get that resolution, the franchise owner thought it appropriate to make threats. I hope corporate steps in and removes the franchise owner. Unacceptable. Original review below.
The only reason it's not one star is because the staff were friendly and clearly working hard to juggle a lot of orders. But after this latest visit to this Moe's, where I was first introduced to the chain and became a fan 15ish years ago, I think I am finally done with this chain across the board. Ya'll wanna pinch those pennies with labor costs, and it shows.
I used to come to a clean restaurant where several staff members were stationed in place for fast service. I understood I was paying higher prices for better quality food. Now those prices are completely unjustified. What you spent in better ingredients was cancelled out by cheaping out on labor costs. These days I live closer to Northern Delaware, and I've watched the quality nosedive in those locations in the last 5 years. I was so disappointed to walk into this store and see the same list of issues plaguing those other locations.
I am now mourning Moes of years past. They got rid of the quirky ambiance with stoner classic rock and Bob Marley tunes on the store radio and comedy movie references in the menu choices. I could handle that. I can't handle filthy dining rooms and bathrooms, ingredients mixed together and uavailable in the trays, and nothing stocked when it's time to get drinks and salsas due to chronic understaffing. I am writing to share a very disappointing experience I had at your Deptford, NJ location while picking up a DoorDash order.
I’ve always been a fan of Moe’s Southwest Grill and have been a loyal customer for years, but after what happened at this location, I will not be returning there, and I feel compelled to share my experience.
When I arrived, the employee asked me to confirm the name on the order before I stepped into the restroom, which I did. Out of respect for the process, I followed her request. However, after I left the restroom, I overheard this same employee telling a customer, in reference to me, “He didn’t even wash his hands.”
This was completely untrue (I always carry and use my own hand sanitizer), but more importantly, it was humiliating and unprofessional. No customer should ever be spoken about in such a way, especially in front of others. It made me feel embarrassed and disrespected, and it left a lasting negative impression of your brand.
I am not only disappointed — I am disgusted. As someone who has consistently chosen Moe’s in the past, this is the first time I’ve ever felt unwelcome. I will not be returning to the Deptford location, and I will be making sure to share this experience with friends, family, and across social media so others know how customers are being treated there.
I strongly urge Moe’s to take immediate action to address this employee’s behavior and to ensure that no other customer has to experience something similar. At the very least, I believe Moe’s should provide a gesture of goodwill to acknowledge the embarrassment and inconvenience I was put through.
I hope to hear back from you soon regarding what steps will be taken to correct this situation.

First time visiting “moes” with my family and not to mention we waited in line for about 10 minutes and there was only about 4 people ahead of us , when we finally got to order the employees looked miserable we asked them a few questions being as though it was our first time there and they had attitudes And were rude, so when we got to pay the lady at the cashier who claimed to be the “manager” over charged me , luckily I grabbed my recipe and said something because she didn’t give it to me or anyone else I saw a pile of recipe which is totally unprofessional!!! Scammers ! All of the employees were spaced out and slow and appeared to not know what they were doing no gloves or hats digusting !!! As we sat down to eat I realized the face my son and his dad were making faces about the food so when I sad down to eat my burrito the rice was SO hard!!!!! Hard as a rock I tried to look past it but it was so hard it was getting stuck in my teeth. I went back up to the cashier and asked for a manager she claimed she was !!! She was rude and nasty and told me that happens and she wasn’t bothered that the rice was hard !! First of all that doesn’t always happen anywhere I’ve ever been. So unprofessional never ever ever going to a moes she also told me I wasn’t aloud back and to never come back !!!! Discrimination!!!!!! And that my business isn’t needed !!! No apology, nothing !!!
