One of the highlights of dining here is the variety of drink options. From a well-curated selection of beers to creative cocktails, there's something to complement every meal. The beer list features local brews, which is a nice nod to the region and offers a chance to try something new.
For families, Bears' Den is a great choice. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating options, including booths and large tables for groups. The noise level is lively but not overwhelming, making it a comfortable place to bring kids.

Read moreThe food is meh, nothing to write home about. Definitely simple fried foods with a few other options added. They were under construction when we went so I can't say the atmosphere was great or horrible. The service, I had 2 experiences. The first experience was great our server was friendly and came to the table at the most opportune moments so she was never interrupting us or asking how things were when our mouths were full. She did have a few foul balls thrown at her that I saw, one group of people kept adding more tables to theirs so she went from having 4 people at the table (when we walked in) to having 10 people at the table when we left. Then she had another group of 5 that had been set in someone else's section moved into her section. I believe this might have rightfully annoyed another server because I saw the other server give her some attitude. But she handled everything with a smile on her face and complete grace. The second time we went in the server gave off vibes that we were just a bother, she disappeared at the end when we wanted to pay (she disappeared into the kitchen and I know because we were sat right next to the door for the kitchen). They are the second cheapest restaurant at the lodge and I hope when the construction is done they will get things settled and it...
Read moreWe went on a Friday night. Our waitress was great and recommended an exceptional local beer (Graffiti St. By Troegs) which is rare these days (a waitress actually recommending something) and which I greatly appreciated. The beer was so good, slightly fruity and perfectly refreshing.
We got burgers, they were delicious, parm wings, also delicious and huge, and Philly egg rolls which were super good.
Now, as to why this is getting 3 stars. We went to eat here again on Saturday and was told "there's a bears pre game so everyone is seated for the night." And was turned away! This is a hotel restaurant, not a local pub or something! It's the restaurant staffs job to make sure no one is "seated for the night." Unless the restaurant has been reserved. If it had been reserved there should have been a sign or something and it should have been pre-mentioned at the time of booking the hotel that the least expensive of the 3 restaurants in the hotel would be unavailable on sat. night.
Since we had planned on eating there before bed it was 8:30 and quite difficult to find somewhere else to eat as we found their other restaurant "Fire and Grain" to be subpar and did not have intrest in trying to take our 3 year old to the the high end "revelry"...
