Bake My Day - Lady Ray 833 harbor Boulevard Destin, Florida

Most impressive eatery and bakery, tucked away in a small strip mall area near the Target in Destin - and after our first visit we all were so impressed with the quality of their pastries and lunch food I would only imagine it is a matter of time before their business dictates they move to a more convenient location with more kitchen and dining space.

Lady Ray offers a select array of quality sandwiches made with fresh ingredients and fresh bread. Our group all ordered the daily special, which was tender prime rib beef shredded with melted cheese, fried onion pieces on a toasted loaf of hoagie sized bread. Excellent taste.

The bakery items on display were very inviting and as tasty as they looked. Quite fancy, beautifully presented and all made with fresh ingredients. After our lunch and because we just couldn’t resist - we all ended up picking one of several pastry choices to take with us.

The Cafe has indoor seating and a small resale merchandise area. The bakery does cater to Specialty and Wedding Cakes and if you’re ever in Destin during a birthday - other customers told us they make a heck of a custom made...

We purchased a 3 tier wedding cake from Chef Heidi. We met with her in 2020 for a cake tasting and design. The meeting was professional and we were confident we would have a great cake. Leading up to the wedding the communication was insufficient. It took 3 calls and an email to pay the remaining amount due. The cake was delivered timely. However, the cake lacked a professional appearance that I expected based on promises and price. The lettering was also not in the correct order and color. Positive first .scones are the best tasting i have ever had negative this place is never open on time or when they say. I was waiting outside with another paying customer at almost 8 am (they open at 7:30 am) there was someone in there lights on etc she saw us but she went on doing for about 3mins then came to door and said she was too busy to talk to the first lady and told me scones would not be even partly ready for 30more minutes this is not the first or second or third time in went by in the morning and they were not open if she is too busy for a store front she should not have one just be a catering ordering place and place to bake.
