Small wait, no big deal everywhere in Destin is going to be like that. But you can get put on the wait via yelp or another app before arriving so that your wait is shorter.

Once we were seated, Preston took excellent care of us. Got us coffee and water quickly and when we told him we were ready to order he was personable and helpful with the menu. Since we were ordering other food too he indicated that sharing the lobster Gouda grits would be fine otherwise it wouldn’t be enough. Those are the best grits I’ve ever had in my life! Creamy, not overpowering, great flavor, and plenty of lobster chunks.

Josh had the rajin Cajun omelet and I had the beach crab bennie. I know a lot of people have complained that the hollandaise is broken but I don’t believe that’s the case. I think what they are seeing is the grease from the andouille not a broken sauce. Regardless, the food was excellent and they give you so much you’ll make yourself sick trying to eat every bite. But it’s so worth it.

The mimosa is also worth a go. Very good and came out fast. The bloody Mary’s looked good as well but I didn’t try that....

It I had to sum this review up in less than 10 words. I'd say it was absolutely amazing...we came back twice!

Seriously, we had breakfast at Crackings two days straight because it was just that good! A friend and his wife suggested this place, instead of The Ruby Slipper or Another Broken Egg. I was a tad bit skeptical, but then I saw the line. Now on to the food, which was so good I didnt take pictures (either time).

The highlight for me was the Coastal Omelet paired with the bacon gouda grits. The omelet was packed with shrimp, cream cheese, jack-cheese, and lump crab meat sautéed in their signature Coastal Butter, along with tomatoes and green onions. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it at first, so I ordered extra sides of sausage and bacon—though I barely needed them because the omelet was so flavorful. The bacon gouda grits were the perfect complement, rich, and creamy.

Both visits, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you're in Destin and looking for an unforgettable breakfast spot, Crackings is the place! We can’t...

Crackings continues to be one of my favorite places to grab breakfast or brunch. The food is consistently delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor combinations, and thoughtful presentation that shows they care about every plate that comes out of the kitchen. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savory, or somewhere in between, the menu has something for everyone.

What really sets Crackings apart, though, is the people. The host staff is genuinely some of the nicest I’ve encountered anywhere. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a regular—even if it’s your first time. They’re friendly, attentive, and always seem happy to be there, which makes the whole experience feel that much more enjoyable.

It’s true that prices have gone up a bit recently, but honestly, the quality of the food and service makes it still worth every penny. You leave feeling satisfied, not just from the meal, but from the whole experience.

If you’re in the area and haven’t been yet, go. And if you’ve already been—you probably don’t need me to convince...
