If you’re after a solid breakfast burrito, this spot technically delivers, but you’ll want to get in while it lasts, because the way things are run, it’s hard to imagine this place sticking around much longer.

I placed an online order and walked into a mostly empty shop, four people dining, no line. A woman I assumed was the manager asked if I was ordering or picking up. I told her I was picking up and gave my name. She said, “Give me three minutes.” Five minutes later, she asked again if I was picking up. I waited another fifteen before peeking over the counter to see a bag with my name clearly visible on the receipt, untouched. By then, a small line had formed. The same manager looked at me again, asked “Picking up, right?” I said yes. She started walking toward the bag… until a cashier I hadn’t even spoken to claimed it was theirs, and the manager just turned and walked away.

After an awkward 30-minute standoff, they finally handed me my now-cold breakfast sandwich—minus the drink, which they (and I) forgot in the midst.

The food? Passable, but like I said this rate, it won’t be long before the...

I stopped by Effin Egg for breakfast and had a pretty mixed experience—outstanding food, but a very uncomfortable atmosphere while dining in.

The highlight was definitely the food. I ordered the Side Chick Burrito with added bacon, and it was excellent. The portion was generous without going overboard, and the spicy aioli had a great kick that brought the whole thing together. It’s the kind of burrito that hits the spot and leaves you satisfied. Ordering is done through a digital kiosk when you walk in, and my order was ready in about 20 minutes.

What threw the experience off, though, was a man walking around the dining area asking every person—multiple times—for any leftover coffee they hadn’t finished. He approached nearly everyone who walked in. It was awkward, disruptive, and honestly made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. Staff didn’t step in, which made it feel like we were all left to deal with the situation ourselves.

I’d absolutely go back for the food, but next time I’ll probably...

I work at a restaurant down the street from this place and when I got to work this morning I recommended to my manager that we order from this new breakfast spot. We noticed the items on the menu were a bit pricey but decided to try it anyways since the photos looked so good. He returns with our orders and unfortunately our staff was disappointed. My order in particular was supposed to come on a gluten free bun, which costs $2 extra on top of the $10 sandwich price. They did not have any gluten free buns, so they gave me an egg, few pieces of turkey bacon and a melted piece of cheese in a box. No sauce. No bun. For $12. They did not even refund the $2 for the gluten free bun. Everyone else said their portions were small and the food was underwhelming for the price. Very unfortunate this restaurant wasn’t good considering it’s one of the only quick breakfast spots...

I’m so glad I gave this place a try! I’m not usually a burrito for breakfast kind of girly, but now I made an exception. My favorite so far is the Hangover Burrito, the fried chicken is perfectly crispy with great flavor, the eggs are fluffy, and the spicy aioli gives flavor without being too much. All the flavors come together beautifully! I’ve also tried the steak burrito and brisket sandwich, they weren’t as bold as the chicken, but still solid and definitely worth a try if you want to switch things up. It’s a great spot for a quick breakfast. If you’re in a rush, I recommend ordering ahead but if you have time, the cozy vibe inside is worth enjoying. I’ve got my eye on the grits for my next visit!y

Food was quick and easy to order through the kiosk. We were dining in but received our egg sandwiches in plastic to go boxes on top of a plate. The plastic container caused the bun to steam up and disintegrate by the time we got back to our seats. I wished that by dining in, we wouldn’t be served so much plastic to throw away. The egg sandwich was great, tater tots were standard. We also ordered the side cinnamon rolls and they were so dry we couldn’t bite through them. We dined inside but had to leave quickly since the ventilation didn’t seem to be running enough to move the grease out of the building.

I've been looking for a good breakfast burrito spot in the areas where I regularly go and I found this one when I wasn't looking! The staff were great and the food came out quickly considering the eggs were cooked fresh. I had the Breakfast Sausage Burrito, which included turkey sausage, tater tots, Effy sauce (tangy and mayo-based), pico, and I'm not sure what else, but it was so good. The dining room was small, but clean, and there was some nice jazz playing in the background. I will definitely be back.
