Seasons Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Detroit

I visited a lovely nearby neighborhood and what an amazing and vibrant grocery and cafe I found in Midtown, Detroit. This neighborhood gem is called Seasons Market & Cafe. The staff was so friendly and attentive.

I had a long conversation with a staff member named Arthur about the evolution of Neo Soul and Jazz in Detroit and abroad. Quinlyn helped with a few selections comparing a jalapeño scone with the right type of beverage. Thank you Tonya for the right selection of overnight oats, and Miss Betsy for the Mocha and Espresso Brownie recommendation. My soul smiled throughout my whole visit. 🙂

So glad I came by to this place. Thank you Father for the beautiful souls that I came across today. Thank you for your blessings daily.

I adore Seasons Market & Cafe!!! I found it purely by chance as I began exploring the neighborhood when I first moved to the area. I fell in love with the exterior before I even stepped foot in the building. When I actually walked in, it felt surreal and familiar and safe. I call it MY special little place. It is an oasis of specialness - full of positive, loving energy - with its wonderful staff, delectable teas, coffees and treats, extremely fresh produce, organically sourced/made products, specialty/branded merchandise and some amazing, delicious menu items. Used to enjoy coming here for a coffee or to pickup some small grocery items.

However I will not continue to be a patron as the staff allowed a customer (who appeared to be a regular) abuse their dog. Several people came in to check on the status of the dog/owner. The owner left the dog tied up outside in the 16 degrees while it was snowing for at least 45mins and sat indoors watching from a window as they took their time with their pastry/coffee. The owner of the dog was even offering to give the dog away to those that asked about her and was willing to include a crate. Disgusting human behavior especially in current times. Have better morals and...
