What a great looking restaurant but as they say, “Looks can be deceiving!” I haven’t been this disappointed in a restaurant in years!! We ordered three appetizers: Bacon covered dates. They were tasty but why cover them with Heinz Ketchup? Dip Trio: Cashew Hummus, Beet Dip, and Pimento Cheese. Store bought dips were tastier. The worst part was the dips were served with Saltine and Ritz crackers!! We thought it was a joke! Smokehouse Brisket Bruschetta- This appetizer was so unappealing to look at as it resembled wet dog food on bread. It tasted awful! We ate one piece of bread to try it and that was more than enough! Just awful!
Dinner was just as bad. Burger and Fries.- The fries were good, the burger had zero taste and fell apart in many pieces. Odd for a cheeseburger. Margherita Pizza- It was wet and greasy! Unbelievable! It was clear that no one cared we sent back so much food to the kitchen. The best part of our dinner experience was the alcoholic drivks we ordered. Why? They didn’t make them! I hope this review helps someone else avoid this restaurant and not make the same $170 mistake we...
Read moreThis restaurant is ok. The food I've gotten has always been good so I have no complaints in that department. However, the selection of food is pretty sparse. Everything is "special" on the menu and it's not that easy to just order a basic burger and fries, or a basic sandwich... maybe that's what most people want when they go out for the night to a show or an event at LC Arena, but I'm already going to spend a fat wad being at the arena on water and snacks, so it would be good to just be able to find a burger and fries that aren't trying to be the next Top Chef menu addition. The service is also painfully slow. I actually think this is because they might not have enough people on board, but we actually went there on a VERY slow night and we still had quite a wait even for water to be brought to the table.
I will say that it probably won't be my last time there though and the reason is because it's a nice way to get into the venue for the show without waiting in the long lines outside. Come in, have a beer, walk through the restaurant and straight...
Read moreI visited The Mixing Board on 8/4 with some friends and had a really disappointing experience. We grabbed a seat at the bar and tried to get the attention of the blonde, Caucasian woman working as the bartender. Despite asking politely three separate times over the course of about 30 minutes, she refused to serve us. We were sitting directly in front of her, but she kept giving us attitude and saying she'd get to us, which never happened. She deliberately ignored us, refusing to even make eye contact, despite our respectful requests to be served like the other patrons.
What made it even worse was that she immediately served the women who sat down in our seats after we decided to leave because of being ignored. The whole situation was extremely off-putting and it's clear that this kind of behavior is unacceptable. As a frequent concert-goer at LCA, I will be avoiding this place at all costs in the future. Such treatment is despicable, and I hope management addresses this...
