Denny's — Restaurant in Dickson City

This Dennys was ABSOLUTELY horrible! We went later, took my daughter for a birthday breakfast. There were only ourselves and 1 other table at the time we were there. I ordered a super bird, home fries with cheese and a side of country gravy. My family had eggs toast bacon etc. We also ordered coffee, tea, chocolate milk and a milkshake.

The Breakfast foods (eggs toast bacon etc) were all fine and came out in a timely manner. The super bird and sides with it were so gross it was seriously not editable! They were COLD, NOT COMPLETELY COOKED and missing items.

I alerted our server who apologized and took the food to replace. The food that came back was just as bad! The sandwich was missing a slice of bread, as it literally onlly had bread on 1 side of the sandwich. That bread was supposed to be grilled, it wasnt. It was partially toasted. It originally came out 15 minutes AFTER all the other parties food, then took another 20 minutes before i received the replaced food. So I sat there while my family ate and then they were going to have to sit and watch me eat as they would be finished.

By this point the restaurant was starting to close up.

The finally brought out my meal which was seriously ridiculous and wasted, not eaten at all. It was again cold not cooked correctly and was missing parts of the actual food.

I left hungry, having eaten nothing and no replacement food after as again they were closing at this point and had cleaned the grill etc...

I have never had a problem here like I did this time. I have eaten here a million times throughout my life and have always been satisfied with the food and service as it is always a quick go to to grab a quick bite...

We had visited Denny’s pretty late with 4 of us as a group. Being teens we were a little obnoxious at the table I would say but there weren’t others there. Instead of thinking we were weird for ordering 4 pancakes or having fruit with steak our server JR was very personable and was able to joke around with us. Not only that but he also got our drinks out to us fast along with our food. He didn’t even need a notepad to remember all of our food and he got it exactly right. While there he treated us as if we were friends rather than customers and that goes a long way. He informed us on Denny’s hours returning back to 24 hours and stated that he wants to spread the word so that he can serve others and bring them joy through the night. By far I had one of the best experiences in a restaurant in a while and it was mainly due to JR. The food was excellent and the managers were attentive asking us as guests if our food tasted up to par and if we needed anything. We came close to closing but not once did we get rushed out or felt like we had to leave. This being said I will be returning to this location in the future because my experience was like I said the best I have ever had at a restaurant. There was a very rude waitress there that had the audacity to go up to a family who was casually eating dinner and having conversation who just happened to speak another language. She got all pissy with them because she thought that they were talking about her and laughing at her just because they were speaking in another language and laughing. If you speak more than one language you probably feel more comfortable talking with your family who also speak the same language in your original tongue. It's easier than trying to think and Translate what you want to say into another language and then the other person has to try to translate what you just said think about what their response is and then answer. It doesn't make sense for them to have to speak in English just because it makes you more comfortable. She didn't bother to come to any of the other tables who spoke English who were talking low enough that she couldn't hear them and laughing and accusing them of talking badly about her. Just because someone speaks another language does not mean that they are talking about you it's just easier for them.
