We are always fond of the quality of food and it's not too salty for seniors! This is important for the elderly in maintaining low blood pressure! * Still not comfortable with inside dining so we decided on Red Lobster where all presentations are incomparable, making it difficult to settle on one entree! * In order to not cause any confusion, we ordered the same meal but each, with a different 'side'! Hubby wanted green beans and my choice was baked potato! * That paper bag emitted the most awesome aromas, activating our salivary glands along with heightened anticipation! The cheese biscuits didn't make it to the first redlight!! Such goodness! * Upon arrival home, hubby eagerly viewed the delectable foodstuffs but his "oh, no! ", meant something wasn't right! No green beans or baked potato, as we had chosen for our sides! * People are human and make mistakes but we had hoped this continuing occurrence would not involve this higher end restaurant! I only metion this because EVERY TIME (Around 11 times, ordering take-out during this Pandemic) there is ALWAYS a mistake or two!!!!!! That's all we've eaten out as I sooooo love to cook and bake! I offer this advice to not only Red Lobster, but Cooper's as well as restaurants desiring to stay in business and having return customers:: LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER AND READ BACK THEIR ORDER THEN FOLLOW THROUGH! BEFORE THAT FOOD LEAVES THE PREMISES, CHECK FOR THE LAST TIME REGARDING THIS ORDER AS EACH ORDER SHOULD BE GOING TO A HAPPY, DELIGHTED & A RETURNING CUSTOMER! THEY ARE YOUR MOST IMPORTANT CUSTOMER OF THE DAY! * No problem with salt at Red Lobster but the soups & gravy @ Cooper's were way too salty and inedible! Sorry to have just mentioned these two restaurants but 9 others never got it right! One place was a repeat Western chain eatery in Wilkes-Barre! After being specific again, the second visit, more mistakes were made! I can't be the only one to whom this happens! Glider Diner in Scranton needs to decrease the salt in all their presentations as it wastes our money when the food is inedible because of salt! ** After the Pandemic, we will give them all another chance but no more if we are finally disappointed again! People are human, as are we and none of us is perfect! Just saying and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter looking over the selection of draft beer I ordered one. She replied would you like a glass with that? I said I ordered a draft. She replied, we have no draft beer. It took 15 minutes to get a diet Pepsi, can of beer and 3 biscuits. She took our order and 30 minutes later still no food, so we asked for more biscuits and she replied the kitchen was backed up. I observed that people who came in 20 minutes after us were getting biscuits and appetizers. It has now been an hour and I was finishing my beer and still no food or biscuits. I had to call her over and ask where the biscuits and food were. She indifferently replied the kitchen was backed up would I like another beer? She left and I got up and explained to the manager that our waitress had only provided us with one drink and 3 biscuits for over an hour while providing the people around us who came in later with biscuits, appetizers and entrees. The manager stepped in and brought us biscuits and had our dinner delivered within 10 minutes. All this time the waitress showed no concern for our poor service. This was by far the worst service I have ever had in any restaurant. Fried shrimp was served with our orders and no tarter sauce was served even after asking for extra tarter sauce with the original order. We had to ask for it. I left no tip for probably the first time ever. On the way out I told the manager there was no excuse for the bad service we received while all those around us were getting normal service and finishing before we even got a biscuit refill and dinner. I am still baffled as to what the waitresses problem was. She exhibited no warmth or concern for our comfort or experience. Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was one of the first times i was actually disappointed by my visit. Usually when I go to Red Lobster its fresh, and amazing tasting food. This time...not so much. When we got in we had a really nice waitress who got us exactly what we wanted. My grandma ordered A bahi shrimp-bowl or something, and I got a bowl of clam chowder and the Fish and Chips. The Clam Chowder was fantastic, top notch, always what I expected from Red Lobster. The fish and chips...not so much. I bit into it and I actually got nauseas and a bit sick from first bite that I had to spit it out. It did NOT taste fresh at all. My grandma said her shrimp bowl wasn't really as good as she hoped. We took the fish and chips to go but neither of us wanted it and it ended up being cat food. I was sick and threw up once I got home. I went to bed and woke up and still felt like garbage, I couldnt eat dinner. I'm rating it 3 stars considering I've been there before and had good meals, and the fact that we had a kind waitress and the place we ate looked clean. But the food, except for the clam chowder, was...not good. I probably won't be coming back to this red lobster for a while and might go to Olive Garden the next I'm in Scranton instead since its right next door. I even rated some things falsely on our end of meal survey because I didnt want to make the waitress or staff feel bad. But yeah, probably won't come here again, wouldn't doubt if it...
