Have to say this store is typically one of my absolute favorites and I normally spend a ton of money here between personal decor and supplies for work but I’m not sure I will be back!! Went in today to purchase supplies for work and the manager on was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! As a business we are tax exempt for re sale, from the start he had an attitude when I handed the cashier the card (sweet girl)! She seemed new and didn’t know how to process it which was fine with me that I had to wait a bit. Long story short our tax exempt card given to us by hobby lobby says good thru September 2022, last I checked it is currently August 2022. Manager argued and said if the computer says it’s expired then it’s expired!!! When I questioned how it was possible that it’s expired if the card in hand says it’s not he got very nasty and said the only thing I can do is pay the tax and come back with a receipt and the paperwork to renew it, so there goes wasted gas now too! Really would not have been a big deal if he didn’t have such an attitude about it!!! Probably spend atleast $1000.00 a year here between myself and work! Guess we will be taking our money elsewhere since the manager doesn’t seem to think they need the money or the sale!!! He gave me a dirty look from the second I entered the store, I’m sure it was the tattoos but maybe you shouldn’t be so...
Read moreI am only giving this a 3 stars based on experience from other hobby lobby's I've been too. I drove from Bloomsburg which was 1 hr 10 mins each way to mainly come here because all my fiber friends on YouTube told me how hobby lobby had so much clearance in the yarn isle. I FOUND ZERO. And they had no wheel chairs for the public to use, not even the manual ones with the basket in the front. When you try to see signs of where certain departments were you couldn't see anything. I literally had to walk the entire perimeter of the store looking for it. And I ended up walking right past it because it was hidden by a really tall row of clearance fabric bolts. And when I finally found an employer (she had a hobby lobby shirt on but was shopping so she was off the clock) I asked her and she helped me. I could not find any employees anywhere before then. There were 2 small isles of yarn. And it's not like it's a small store. I got nothing on sale. AND THEY DO NOT ACCEPT COMPETITORS COUPONS. I never cared much for hobby lobby. They never have coupons. 1 coupon for 40% one regular prices item. Woohoo... What a way to show your customers your appreciation. I'll stick to Michael's, Joann fabrics and AC Moore.
I doubt I'll step foot in that store again. I may order online time to time. But...
Read moreI really struggle with the dishonesty I’ve encountered at this store. It’s happened twice now. I’ve never reviewed a business before, but the unethical behavior of a company that claims to have Christian values really bothers me. This time, I purchased picture frames and the display, full of only one type of frame of one brand, was marked 50% on the physical display (as were several other displays surrounding it). I didn’t read the fine print as I normally would since it was clearly marked on the display with the product (and no other products) that I was purchasing. The lady at the register very quickly replied to my question about the price that that brand is not on sale as is stated in the fine print. Based on the signage and the cashier’s very quick reply, I feel it was 100% intentional to mislead the customer. I would have bought the item at the price marked anyway, but the lying and misleading was not ok. I want to support businesses with good ethics, not places that misrepresent what Christianity stands for. I won’t be returning...
