This is my third time going to the Dickson City location because I hear of everyone else having good experiences, but they just keep letting me down here. This time we got our drinks and got chips and salsa. We put our order in for an appetizer of the peque tacos (with chicken), and our entrees of a burrito and a chimichanga. We probably waited for a half hour for our tacos. They were fried and the filling was some kind of mystery substance, no chicken at all. The burrito was okay. The chimichanga (shrimp) was very small, it was mostly full of cheese and very few pieces of shrimp. It didn’t have any seasoning to it. More than half of the plate was veggies and beans. We asked the waitress to take the tacos back because it was just pretty unacceptable to serve that to a customer. Then when we wanted to pay we asked the waitress if they could refund us for the tacos because I do not want to pay for a product that I found dissatisfying. The “manager” on duty even told us next time to not order them because they order them from a supplier and are not even fresh and wanted us to pay half for the tacos which we unhappily agreed on. He gave us the change for the original transaction that wasn’t discounted. So we had to ask him for the actual correct change. Please make sure to check your receipt before leaving the restaurant. First off why is there bargaining for the price of the quality of bad food? Secondly please practice customer service. Our waitress stopped at our table to take our order and then take our plates. I hate leaving bad reviews but I’m hoping the owner sees this. I’m not asking for money back, just please check portion sizes, the quality of food by tasting it, and re-train for...

Adding video so everyone can experience the noise.
I have never ever in my entire life asked for a restaurant to turn down anything, let alone the music. I walked into this place and was very unexpectedly overwhelmed by the volume of the music.
I get wanting to have a laid back feel, and good music to go along with the bar vibe. This was just over the top loud. I can see exactly why the complaints over orders being wrong are being made.
Even the person I asked to turn the music down said, “Yah, I can’t even hear myself think sometimes.”
Now that is out of the way…
The food here is excellent. Great selection from the various menu items. This isn’t the “Mexican” food I’m used to in Colorado. Think this is more traditional cuisine. So getting a burrito smothered in green chili isn’t necessarily an option.
I opted for the Mole Enchiladas with chicken. The seasoning was spot on, the mole wasn’t overly sweet which is awesome as some places really go overboard, and the it was perfectly balanced with chili and spices.
This dish comes with beans and rice. Beans are simple pinto beans not refried, and a very basic “Spanish” rice. The rice is sooo good. Expertly prepared, light and fluffy. I would go here for the rice alone. I’m not kidding. Writing this has me craving the rice! I could only hope to one day achieve this level of quality of rice 🤩
I’ll eat from here again, just won’t eat here. Hopefully I can submit my order electronically as I’m sure ordering over the phone will lead to mistakes since it is so fing loud!
Really hoping y’all are listening to...
Read moreI moved to PA two years ago from Texas and was super disappointed that I couldn't find good Mexican food here. I decided to stop here today for lunch while waiting to get my haircut.
They are located in a strip mall, next to Target, so my expectations weren't very high. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. The place was beautifully decorated and well-kept, with very nice furnishings. The bar has a nice granite countertop. It's clear that the owners took pride in creating an above average restaurant.
I ordered a Pacifico michelada, and lengua tacos. I hadn't been able to find either of those in PA previously. Both were absolutely the best that I've ever had! I was served quickly and the server/bartender was very friendly and attentive.
They have an extensive menu of authentic Mexican dishes and I'm looking forward to trying everything. The cocktail menu is also extensive and has a lot of drinks that you don't normally see in this area. Their prices are slightly higher compared to other places in the area but I feel like there's a very good reason for that. They aren't the typical cookie-cutter Mexican place that I've been to all across this state. I absolutely got my money's worth and then some.
I was told they also occasionally have live bands, so I'm looking forward to checking that out. I couldn't be more excited to have found this place and will be back often with...
