Having lost good options in my local area for good hoagies, I've been on a bi-weekly search for a good option, as I love hoagies as an option when I'm working and currently on a winter break. Despite my half hour drive just to get to this location, I'm pretty satisfied with it.
Ordered three small hoagies for variety to try, a sharp Italian, diablo Italian, and the specialty sulmona, along with a small container of pepper shooters. Immediately on ordering in person, I snacked on a pepper shooter as I waited. Can't go wrong with the pepper shooters here.
A bit torn on the hoagies themselves, but don't want to be overly negative because I might have just gotten a bit unlucky. Main issue being, parts of the bread were pretty rock solid on each of my hoagies, mainly the top portions. But my thinking goes, if the bread was a bit fresher, they'd be top notch in my opinion. Good portions, good ratios of bread-meat-veggies, maybe a bit pricey, but I honestly can't complain too much if I'm not willing to go ahead and make subs myself. Good quality meats, pretty fresh vegetables, and some nice seasoning mixed in there.
Only reason I'm not giving a solid 5/5 is purely due to the hard bread, which again, I don't want to be too negative on with being unlucky and not getting a fresh batch. Could argue that even being served the hard bread is a big oversight, but I'm not gonna get that petty when apart from that single issue, I found the hoagies delicious.
A negative I discovered after a couple of days is that the sulmona I ordered (salami, mozzarella and pepper shooters) is pretty skimpy on the pepper shooters. I get that what you get in real life won't match up to company pictures, but I'd have liked more than a single, quartered pepper shooter on a six inch sub, especially when comparing what I got to the images I had seen of it (a nice layer going across the entire sub). A bit of a let down, because it was probably my favorite of the three I ordered.
Also some praise for the two workers at the time. Person at the register answering some questions I had, and the person behind her making the subs chiming in without missing a beat. Polite and efficient are the words I'd use to describe them at this location, and that's always a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE 5/17 Decided to order via DoorDash today and the experience was absolutely horrible. Completely different than actually going to the physical location. Please see previous review below for in person visit. I ordered 2 sandwiches and some sides. Total including $55 tip was close to $131. I always take care of the delivery driver and this time I got robbed. Order arrived and I was missing a sandwich. Called the driver and she blamed the store and didnāt even offer to go back and pick it up for me. Called the store and the employee stated that my sandwich was still there on the counter and that the driver forgot it. Not sure who to believe. Also the cookies were 4 days old and not fresh at all. Everything was disappointing except for the bag of chips. Iām going to leave the 5 star review for my initial visit. I would rate the order today and the delivery 1 star.
5/15 Stopped in tonight and placed an order. Line moved quickly and everyone was truly awesome. Girl working the register and the guy that handed me my food were absolute rockstars. They even made a comment on how friendly I was. What a world class customer experience. Food was incredibly fresh and portions were huge. The quality of the ingredients are top notch and I would highly recommend Primos. Thank you for...
Read moreThey really pack the meat on the sandwiches at this location. I've only ever been to one other primo, and I can't recall if they did also, but this one definitely doesn't skimp. I order via grubhub here a lot, and this is the first time I went in. The food is pretty consistently good. I personally think the bread is what makes a good hoagie great, and primos seeded bread is just what I'm looking for. I get a seeded American hoagie, and love love loveeee their chocolate chip cookies! My fiancé usually changes it up when he orders, and all his have been good also. The inside is fine, there's some seating and it looked clean. The staff was pleasant. It's a little weird to get in and out of the lot just because of the way the traffic patterns are there. You just have to go right when you're leaving. There was only one time about a year or 2 ago maybe?... where it was terrible, barely filled sandwich, order messed up, it took like an hr for them to make it.... but I'm assuming there was some disaster, or a staffing change or someone having a reallll bad day lol, because it was literally the only bad order I got there. The menu has said they're under new management, so maybe it had to do with that. Anyway, I'd highly recommend, they're my favorite...
