Shoney's — Restaurant in Dickson

This chain restaurant used to be everywhere. Over the years it seems more have closed than stayed open. Sooooo sad!!! I pray for this restaurant chain to make a comeback!!! It has remained family oriented, fairly priced, kids eat free, consistent food quality, customer service minded, all you can eat, serve yourself etc... Which is a real rarity nowadays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all that reads this review... Let's all work together as a team to keep this business alive and try to bring it back, to a thriving establishment!!! By prayer and frequenting it as much as possible!!!!!!! Shoney's is definitely our family choice for eat in/sit down breakfast restaurants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️ I will start the prayer part of this myself and pray others will add to their reviews and in their private prayer time... Lord, In this day and time where businesses are failing left and right due to our economy. I speak life back into the dry bones of this establishment, that not only will it live but I speak that it will make such a comeback that new Shoney's shall emerge from the ashes and rise again!!! I pray that the ones that remain that their dining areas stay full and overflowing!!! I pray for awesome management and staff to all prosper and grow. My boyfriend and I usually eat shoneys every sunday that I am home from college. Today we went and it was a very different experience. The server we had I was familiar with because I know her through mutual friends. Her name is Alex. She noticed me at the table after dropping off drinks and proceeded to pass us to another server, which is understandable from one server to another it’s awkward serving someone that you know, knows a lot of information about you. After that the server she passed up too rushed us the entire time we were there. My boyfriend didn’t even have his plate yet and dropped off our ticket on the table. She proceeded to rush us, offered no refills, and was rude. Another server came up to us and treated us as if we were her table giving refills and more. I went to get another plate from the bar and I overhead the server we got passed to from Alex say that we had been talking about Alex and that’s why she took our table. My lovely wife Gina and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a day early at Shoney's yesterday and we were really in for a treat! First Gina noticed that we could get a free soft drink by signing up for the Shoney's text alerts so we immediately signed up for that. Our server, Rhonda was absolutely wonderful and informed us of it being 'steak night' (every Tuesday I do believe) which means that along with having steak available at a discounted price the salad bar price included all the side items! This was wonderful for us because one of us was able to order the steak and the other ordered the salad bar for only $6.99 then we split a VERY delicious ribeye steak and had an awesome salads and loaded baked potatoes as sides.
