Golden House Restaurant — Restaurant in Dodge City

I ordered honey chicken. I got chicken in a thick gooey sauce which was made of granulated sugar. I ordered steamed rice. I got fried rice. I ordered an egg roll. I got an egg roll and it was burned on only one end! My order was to go. When the burned egg roll was put into the styrofoam container, the burned end melted the styrofoam and the styrofoam became part of the egg roll. We chose Golden House from a lot of restaurants in the hotel literature. It only provides takeout. So off we went to the restaurant. It was a hot day in Dodge City and even hotter in the restaurant. The owner/cook greeted us. He told us he’s been cooking there for 35 years. We took the food back to our room. My wife was not as hungry as it was so we had the soup and egg rolls. Delicious!!!
