Worst dining experience in 35 years of life. 0 out of 10 would not recommend.
The waiter was unsociable, bordering on rude from the start for no reason. Took orders for 3 of the 4 people at the table and proceeded to walk off as I was attempting to order, forcing me to walk to the front of the restaurant where he then looked at me, ignored me and turned his back on me. I placed my order with a female employee standing next to him. Fast forward 20 minutes and all the orders for the table came out except mine. One order was incorrect and the waiter failed to check on the table until everyone was done. Would understand if they were busy, however, we were the only people in the restaurant. When the waiter returned at the end with the ticket, I made him aware I didn't receive my order and he acted as though I was at fault, at which point I decided to just cancel my order and pay. He proceeded to blame me and say I didn't put an order in, at which point I told him he walked off as I was ordering. He gave the most insincere sorry I've ever received and apparently wasn't mentally present when I walked to the front of the restaurant and ordered with another employee who also failed to place my order. The rest of the employees present made no effort to make the situation right and glared at me the entire time as though I was at fault and insulting them even though I was calmly and reasonably telling them what my problem was. Worst $76 I've spent in a restaurant. I went to Wendy's afterwards and received better service for a fraction of the price. I've eaten at bella italia in the past and received good service but after this experience I will never give them...
Read moreWe drove 80 miles to enjoy a nice Italian dinner for our anniversary, but we left disappointed.
Our waitress was very kind but her clothing choice felt completely out of place for a restaurant that presents itself as a nice Italian dining experience.
I ordered the “Dean Martin” from the Chef’s Specialties—spaghetti with meatballs and sausage in an olive oil and garlic sauce. The meatballs and sausage looked and tasted like grocery store frozen meat, because that’s exactly what they were. There was no noticeable garlic flavor in the sauce, and I had to add salt and pepper just to give the dish any taste at all.
My wife's meal wasn't any better. She ordered the Chicken Parmesan, but what arrived looked like a microwaved frozen chicken breast with some melted mozzarella on top. There was no breading, and no Parmesan cheese to be found.
We were given the choice between bread or a salad. That struck me as odd—bread is a staple of Italian meals and should be served without question. We opted for the salads, which turned out to be bowls of romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes swimming in what seemed like half a bottle of Italian dressing.
Even the water glasses seemed out of place—Bud Light logos on one side and Kansas City Chiefs logos on the other. I'm a huge Chiefs fan, but this isn't a sports bar. It's supposed to be a nicer Italian restaurant, and details like that just made the whole experience feel cheap and tacky. I wish the food had one redeeming quility but it did not.
We ate here about ten years ago and remembered it being really good. I don’t know what happened, but this time around, it just missed the mark...
Read moreI recently dined at Bella Italia Ristorante, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, welcoming hospitality that set the tone for a wonderful evening. The cozy, elegant ambiance, complete with soft lighting and classic Italian décor, made the atmosphere feel intimate and inviting.
The food at Bella Italia is nothing short of exceptional. We started with the bruschetta, and the flavors were fresh and vibrant, with perfectly toasted bread topped with ripe tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. For the main course, I had the lasagna, and it was perfection. The layers of rich, savory meat, creamy béchamel, and perfectly seasoned marinara sauce were simply divine. My guest had the spaghetti carbonara, which was creamy, indulgent, and made with the right balance of pancetta and Parmesan—absolutely delicious.
The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made great wine pairing suggestions to complement our meals. They took the time to explain the specials and really made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening.
Overall, Bella Italia Ristorante offers an authentic Italian dining experience that is hard to beat. The combination of fantastic food, great service, and a charming atmosphere makes it a place I will definitely return to. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier Italian meal in a...
