King's Buffet — Restaurant in Dodge City

is the truth and only the truth about this place, every time I come to Dodge City, KS I stop in for a bite, the food is not gourmet food as you would expect in a fast food buffet but it is good and there is a variety of good tasting food to select from, salads, kids menu ie; pizza, chicken fingers, fries, there is sushi roll section and soups as you expected the soups are hot & sour, egg flour soups and of course your "Chinese" foods such as teriyaki chicken, general Sao's, fish, chow mein, pork fried rice, and many more choices. Is this place a five star your own personal Butler establishment NO, if you want that pay the price, my typical meal here for myself cost under $10 bucks, the staff is OK they are not overly friendly nor are they unfriendly they are ASIANS their customs they are brought up with has them reserve and not there to socialize but to serve and when I go I get my glass refilled by staff, don't listen to the bozos putting bull on this it is a typical fast food Chinese place nothing more nothing less if you don't expect lifestyles of the rich and famous while paying beer prices you'll be fine, oh and yes the food has been pretty fresh I've never seen anything left unattended nor seemingly unappetizing, just go if you want a quick Chinese buffet meal. This is the most disgusting, raggedy, poor excuse for an asian buffet that I've EVER been to in my LIFE!! I gave the place 3 separate tries!! Don't eat the beef and broccoli, I realized today that the beef is actually sliced globs of beef fat with no actual meat AT ALL...Drop a piece of the beef in a glass of water to wash off the brown sauce and you'll have a whitish glob of FAT!!! The steamed rice is always hard because it sits a long time with no cover, the water tastes like chlorine, and the fried chicken still had LONG FEATHERS ON THEM (the same wings sat there for over an hour while I was there without being changed out)..The asian Long beans had signs of disease on them that should have been chopped off before cooking...The egg drop soup really sucks and my friend found a really odd looking piece of tofu in her hot and sour soup. The cashier is tall and thinks he's an asian supermodel who's too good to wish you a good day or thank you for your business...There's old bubble gum stuck to the pavement all around the entrance door and the booths are old dirty and uncomfortable...My worst...

Well, nobody got sick... Same as every other "cheap" Asian buffet that over charges. Small selection and not much flavor other than salt. One friendly employee who actually used manners.

Update: when unsupervised children were playing in the food (ie tasting and putting back, using hands to dish, etc), staff immediately changed out the food and informed the parents.

Also, flavor and selection have both improved!

Update: our server today was amazing! Very kind and helpful. BUT the two people working at the register were definitely arguing. And apparently whatever they were arguing about was important enough that we were not spoken to outside of "sign here". My boyfriend was nice and told them to have a nice day. I didn't hear a response but he said the lady said "yes". We just paid more than $50 for an honestly cruddy meal and we can't get greeted or even a fake smile when we pay? When I started to tell them they were being rude, my boyfriend stopped me. Guarantee we will give them a nice loooooooooong while to "cool down" before...
