This place use to be decent when they first opened. On Friday I’m waiting in drive-through for over 25 minutes. It was 8:22 PM and I was the only car in drive-through. I ordered some smoked wings and some sides with biscuits. I have ordered from here plenty of times. Same order. I am usually a very patient person but no one came to say.. hey we are gonna cook your wings fresh or pull up please and wait. Of course not because there was no one there but me in drive thru until someone pulled up on the side. I asked the girl Who took my order how much longer it’s gonna take after 15 minutes of waiting. And she said it shouldn’t be long. After another five minutes, I saw somebody come outside to give a bag to the other lady on the side of me. So at this point, I was upset and went inside to ask for a refund back. I guess it was a manager who said your food just came up and it takes 10 minutes to cook the wings. Yes, I can understand that but waiting 25 minutes is insane and when I walked inside, there was only one person at the bar. Nobody was inside the restaurant. But they had about 15 people in the kitchen talking and some working. I decided to take my food anyways. But I think they are very rude, didn’t even offer me an apology, or hey let me give you this for the wait. They are already overrated for being a “bbq restaurant”. But of course Dothan restaurants are all like this. When they first opened, everything runs smoothly and then they get comfortable And stop caring about customers, and obviously the food. I won’t...

The food was, without question, the highlight of our evening. Each dish was expertly crafted, with flavors that danced on the palate. Every bite reaffirmed the restaurant’s commitment to quality and culinary excellence.
However, our evening wasn’t without its hiccups. We were eagerly anticipating the highly recommended cheese biscuits, which were promised to arrive shortly after our main entrees. After a 30-minute wait, they never came. To our surprise, we noticed other tables receiving their biscuits, leaving us feeling a bit overlooked. While this small lapse didn’t overshadow the overall experience, it’s worth mentioning for future improvement.
Despite this, the overall atmosphere, the exceptional food, and the attentive service (apart from the biscuit mishap) make Jim’N Nicks a place we’re eager to revisit. A small tweak in communication could elevate the experience from great to flawless.

Read moreOkay, it's my first time trying out this place. Overall, the experience was nice. It was kinda like a chickfila drive thru. Mistakes were made, but they were more than happy to fix their mistake.
Chicken tenders were overcooked and dry and not juicy, not flavorful at all. we asked for a 4 piece tender but got 3.
Honey mustard was more honey than mustard (I like more of a horseradish honey mustard). If you don't, you'll probably like it.
The chocolate pie was good, the mac&cheese was very good, and the cheddar biscuits were superb!
The coleslaw was good (you can definitely taste the onion). Fries were alright.
One major flaw was that the pint of brisket chili was only filled halfway. If you're paying for a pint, you should then get a whole pint.
I wasn't really sure what an impact fee was, but I paid 2.23 for it. From what I've researched, it's to cover the cost for labor. So. Minus a star for that...mainly towards the owners for making the customer foot the bill for their employees.
Next time, I will try the brisket. I want to like this place and I'm sure in time they'll get better at the cutting table. I'd ask them to take a look at that impact fee, though. That's kind of...
