First, let me just say that we visit this Braums weekly. Which is why I give the food 5 stars. We live by it and it’s an after school treat to our boys but I just had a terrible experience at this Braums, thanks to a rude drive thru employee at 6pm on 8/29. I was getting my kids a swirl ice cream and at the speaker I asked for two swirl ice creams in a cup and a number 1. I said “can you remind me what all comes on your burger?” For some reason he raised his voice, irritated that I asked and yelled the ingredients off. It was odd. When I got up to the window he handed me the swirl ice creams on cones. I said “I’m so sorry I asked for those in a cup.” He could have easily sat the cones in a cup but instead he got mad shut the windows and threw the ice creams in the trash. I could tell he was upset so when he came back with them I said, “I’m sorry I have little ones and don’t want a mess in my car” in which he said, “next time why don’t you actually ask for them in a cup at the speaker, k?” I was caught off guard and confused why he was so put off. I told him I was sorry and I did say that at the speaker. He said “oh I guess I’m hard of hearing now” and shut the window to talk more crap laughing to his coworkers. All over asking for ice cream in a cup. Maybe he was having a bad day but it was a disappointing experience and completely caught me off guard. Edited to add that I just got home and the only thing I asked not to be on the burger was onions and that was also wrong. Can you imagine how pissed he would be if I said I asked for no onions.
Edited my review because the district manager reached out to me to apologize and assured me that the employee had additional training due to...

I was excited when this location opened as its near my home. We’ve been there maybe a dozen times and typically receive average service. Tonight we went through the drive thru to order ice cream. We added an ice water last minute. When we paid and received the receipt I noted $1.25 was charged for ice water. I asked the manager on duty if that was correct and she said that’s their policy. She said they charge for the cup, not the drink. My malt was in the same cup and was $3.99 so I’m guessing the contents matter.
I own a business and understand that there are costs, but come on! To charge $1.25 for maybe .20 worth of paper goods is just ridiculous. I can imagine how many kids are there during the summer asking for ice water and they are making a HEFTY profit from each one.
At my business, we don’t charge for ice water no matter the size of the cup. That’s my choice and probably comes from growing up in the Texas heat and feeling it should be illegal to charge for water. They are entitled to their policies, but when we all feel prices are out of control, we should call out the differences between cost of goods increases and pure profiteering.
As for me, I’ll do the American thing and vote with my dollars. That .25 cent cup that they “need” to inflate the price to $1.25 will cost them much more in just the business they lost from us, but as more and more people open their eyes and see the absurd practices of some businesses, I predict those businesses will be forced to change or close. People only accept this kind of, what we are used to call, “highway robbery”...
Read moreI wasn’t sure on writing this review, but after analyzing what all went down that day I think I should. I came on Sunday, September 28th around 2:30-3:00pm, and I am guessing the manager who was there because of how she was yelling with authority was stressing these poor young kids. I’m not sure if she was talking smack about HER employees or about the customers. I was really excited to come in and be greeted with a nice environment, but actually stumbled upon something that should never happen. This lady seems like is not a good manager whatsoever. Neither should she be in the position she is in. Yall should do a better job at hiring better managers. It’s such a shame, I loved...
