Tasty Crab House — Restaurant in Douglasville

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my daughter there to meet friends and the server put in Hot season for my daughter’s food. Which my daughter asked for Medium. I was sitting at a different table and my daughter called me and informed me that her food was wrong and her chest was hurting and her mouth was burning. The server was okay didn’t really say anything, but she pushed the wrong button instead of Medium she pushed HOT!!! When the manager came over he asked what I wanted I stated I’ll pay for something, but not all because my daughter didn’t really eat much of it. As I’m standing there one of the serves start taking smart asking how old is my child which I couldn’t understand what that had to do with the server pushing the wrong button on the cash register. The server started talking crazy which was so unprofessional. But before all this had happened we ordered chicken wings and the chicken wasn’t done. The corn was hard. I’m done with Tasty Crab. Service was horrible restaurant was open and bartender refused to take anyone plus was told a 10 minute wait for a table. Service was trash. The host asked it we would like to sit at the bar and after about 15 minutes of waiting two seats together opened. When we attempted to sit the lady behind the bar said something to the host in a foreign language. After some discussion the host said we couldn't sit at the bar because they couldn't serve food. However there were people eating at the bar as we got ready to sit. If your bar doesn't sell food it may be time for you to look at your business and alcohol license because as a restaurant the majority of your sales must come from food not alcohol. Otherwise you are not operating as a restaurant. If the bartender wanted to be this discriminatory she needs to find a job working on the phone somewhere. The restaurant is really nice and space on the inside. We went on Valentine’s Day around about 4 o’clock. We were seated fast and it wasn’t busy at all. Our service on the other hand was quite terrible. The waitress forgot my daughters apple juice twice, she brought my son the wrong meal (fried catfish instead of tenders), the food took about 30 minutes to come out, and our drinks took about 10-15. We had to have someone grab her for us at one point because we were ready to order and had been waiting.

I understand there could be some circumstances that I am not aware of, but what really grinded my gears was the $15 gratuity that was added. She didn’t deserve $15 for that service and I am a generous tipper. The food was pretty good although my crab legs didn’t crack. They were not fresh. Considering they’re charging gratuity, ensure you get food service or be prepared to be disappointed. She was not apologetic or trying to explain....
