This is the most unprofessional Waffle House to ever exist! First of all, I used to work at Waffle House so "cry me a river" about how difficult your job is...your most important task is customer service! But evidently none exists here on Fairburn Road in Douglasville. Neither of the staff on duty tonight even attempted to acknowledge me as I sat at the bar stool area waiting to place an order for over 10 minutes, again without even a simple greeting and the restaurant is empty. The bar stool i sat on was sticky with old syrup and I was wearing shorts.. so I slid over to the other stool. Two women were working. An older white lady who was attempting to smash frozen solid sausage into the grill with with hamburger press, and a mixed girl with bleach blonde hair fully drenched in with gel (by the way honey, its 2023 so if you were going for a cracked out "look" with that hairstyle, you nailed it!) I came in to place a to-go order for my kid. I never was served or even asked to wait a moment. So blondie had her back to me and I found that to be quite rude. She was actually leaning on the bar and she was silent. So I asked um can I place my order please? I kid you not she got an attitude with me and said "can't you see I'm busy?" I said "no I can't, because your just standing there silently" She proceeded to argue with me yelling that she was calling an order and that I "didn't even know what she was doing" Look I worked at Waffle House for 4 1/2 years, and I would never raise my tone so ignorantly to our customers. Waffle House used to be a fun place to get some great food and coffee. I honestly wanted to douse her stupid face in ketchup but I'm grown woman so I resisted the temptation and she told me I needed to leave. Cool, I can go ANYWHERE ELSE at this point. As I already exited she proceeded to threaten me while screaming and cursing like she was possessed by a demon. Two staff from the next shift were walking on, one lady was holding her back. Honestly, she may have a very serious mental disorder known as bi-polar disorder. It would be wise to get mental help for her. Read moreThe service is very slow, and most of the waitresses are extremely inefficient, except for Miss Mandy(?). I tried to make it a habit to start going there on my cheat days during lunch, but the service is too abysmal and slow for me to ever reconsider not coming back. It is appalling how slow this Waffle House is. While the food is actually consistently good (in my opinion), the slow service really takes away from the overall quality of the restaurant. In fact, today, it took almost thirty minutes just to get my full meal, and I almost wanted to just walk out, even given the excellent quality of my eggs and bacon. The worst part of it all is that the cooks did an excellent job with preparing my food in a timely manner, but my waitress just didn't seem to care. Some of my food wound up sitting out for the longest time before I was finally served. Regardless, I stuck around, got served my food, paid my meal, and left, promising to never return. I get home to find out that half my order was wrong, So I called the store an a young man answered an I told him the problem an he told me that I could Come in the next day an have my whole order remade An that he would leave my name at the register so they would know what was going on. I go in the next day an all the employees including the manager looked at me like I’m crazy when I explain to them what happened the previous night an that I already talked to someone. The made it same like it was my fault an told me that the young man shouldn’t have promised to remake all my food. They only remade two things an had a whole attitude while doing that. Smh. The manager shouldn’t have made me feel like it was my fault but instead talk to his employee about promising false things to customers.
