Jerry Longo’s Meatballs & Martini's — Restaurant in Dover

Second time dining here, food was very good. Our waiter was nice, not extremely attentive and slightly forgetful but he was quick to recognize his mistakes and would do everything he could to then make it right. Also provided us with a family & friends discount for the long wait for our appetizer. I thought that was very kind of him to do. Again the food was very good, everything cooked well and tasted amazing. My biggest concern, coming from someone who’s career is in Healthcare, which has nothing to do with the food or our waiter directly but another staff member, seemed to be a food runner also bussing tables. He was wearing black disposable gloves, wiping down tables, collecting dirty dishes, silverware, glasses, carrying out food and serving the plates to customers, then would walk away adjust his belt, touch his mask, then touch his hair. Continued his tasks all over the restaurant with these same pair of gloves on. He is truly posing a huge threat to the spread of germs by doing this. I am unsure if he was sick and trying to wear the gloves for that reason but going all over the restaurant touching dirty plates and silverware and then going into the kitchen and serving people their food with these same gloves is absolutely disgusting and someone is bound to come out of this establishment with Covid with him doing this. Not sure where the manager was and starting to question their knowledge of the standards of infection prevention & general hygiene guidelines. I am sure if someone was to read this from the establishment they are going to say he changes his gloves, no he does not bc my husband and I sat and watched this and he did not. Now sitting here writing this the morning after i am truly starting to question if he came to work sick bc there was no other employee wearing gloves and the fact that has was touching dirty dishes and running food out to tables with the same gloves is just disgusting. I truly hope nobody gets sick at this...

My husband and I understood there would be a wait for a table in the Covid-era. We were actually seated pretty quickly though - on the “patio”.

It took our server almost 20 min to come to our table and take our drink orders. We placed our dinner orders at the same time. It took another 10 minutes to get our waters, my husband’s martini, and bread. My husband said his rattlesnake martini was good but not anything special. For $9 that seemed about right; at least it wasn’t more.

My husband order the penne and vodka sauce. The vodka sauce he buys as BJs had more flavor than this sauce. I had the chicken parm and swapped out the pasta with risotto. The parm was very underwhelming and bland. The risotto tasted exactly what mine tastes like that I make in a pressure cooker. For $25 a plate, we expected our dinner to be very good.

We never saw our server again and after sitting for another 20 minutes after we had finished our meal, I finally asked the assistant server for our check.

The thing is the place was not even at 50% capacity. There were tables that weren’t even bussed the entire time we were there.

This is our first time at the casino and we’ll never go to this...

Definitely not worth going! For a place that's supposed to be for martinis and meatballs was a joke. We had reservations for 6:45, sat immediately on the patio and waited 15 minutes with no server. Walked to hostess stand and told them we had never been noticed and she sent server. Server only had 3 tables including us. Took our drinks, I asked what she suggested for martinis so I took her suggestion of life is beautiful, it was drinkable that's about it, wouldn't get it again. We order spaghetti and chicken Alfredo. A 2 year old could make a better spaghetti, I didn't eat much of it, meatball was mushy and sauce had no flavor. My husband had what looked and tasted like can chicken in his Alfredo and the noodles were stuck together. We will never waste money there again. Server never checked on us. When she came finally after we were done for 20 minutes she asked if I needed a box I said no I wasn't impressed and she said I'm sorry I'll get check. She did take my dinner off the bill which I can't complain I didn't eat much of it. She never did come get the money so we left on table and walked out. Don't waste your time or money go...
