River Bend Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Dover

12/01/23. Update I made the mistake of going here again...pizza and fries were like rubber. Licorice sticks are more tender than what I got today. Ugh........

Ok food. Come here a 2-3 times a month. I do find it a little disappointing that after dropping $25 for a sub-par carry out order....they won't even throw in a ranch or honey mustard sauce for free? Kinda cheap. PLENTY of other pizza & sub joints in the area. No biggie.

(6/12) We ordered alot more than fries btw Sub and pizza. And NO...they charged for everything. Surprised they don't charge for napkins. The defensive response from the owner makes it clear that the owner is always right and we def won't return. Pappa Jay's is right down the street and the owner is actually pretty awesome. Pizza...

Ordered the GF crust pizza for delivery and it arrived hot and fast. Cheese, onion, green pepper, garlic and black olives. The sauce was on point! The pie was topped perfectly, my only wish would be that I could have gotten a larger size, I know GF crust is typically one size and also, the pizza sauce and toppings were so perfect it left me wanting more… person who took my order was kind and repeated the order back to me. My roommate got a garden salad topped with chicken salad and had zero complaints! Excited to have a new go to place for yummy delivery. All of the reviews I read were spot on! the price is a bit higher than what you would want, but the reason for the price increase is apparent in the quality of the food and service. Lots of places like to advertise an entree' as "the best _ in __" but after going to all of the places in Dover. I can say with confidence that they do have the best cheese steaks in Dover. The staff and the owner are friendly as well. Last time I was in I didn't call ahead and had to wait for them to cook my food (which was expected). The owner came out and offered me a free root beer while I waited. friendly people and good food. I recommend...
