On June 29th 2025 I visited the bar ojos locos. I was having a really good time with my friend watching the soccer game! I noticed there was a young African-American child. He looked ages 7 to 8 maybe younger. I noticed he was selling chocolates at a bar! A bar full of grown adults. My friend and I were there at the bar, for the second time another girl approached my friend and I we look back and there was another young girl selling chocolates, but she was probably 7 to 9 years old. I was a bit concerned because those bars are not a place for children!!!! we had two grown adults scream at us saying buy some chocolate almost like if we came to get chocolates at the bar! ? when you clearly know that’s not the place for children to be selling chocolates! I honestly was very infuriated because I felt like I was doing something wrong not buying chocolate for this children! I proceeded to talk to the manager, which he said his name was “Jose” I told him what is the reason behind this children selling chocolates at your place. He proceeded to say their bar was considered a family friendly place. I was heated and I responded how are you even promoting a family friendly place when you have woman dressing up in short skirts, wearing bras ? are you even making sense!! I’m not OK with seeing children begging to buy candy from grown-up adults who are getting drunk. I’m smart enough to know that that’s not OK. Child services should do an investigation for this case because that is technically child abuse. Yes! children selling candy. It’s labor abuse. I don’t see it as a cute thing kids selling candy on a Sunday night! There are places for children where they are able to do that for example, Girl Scout cookies promote chocolates and bars and candies outside of a grocery store they do not walk in into a bar full of grown man getting drunk. I’m only here defending the rights of children, minor children that are walking into this place and being apparently under parental control! I am highly highly highly devastated about this act that happened at this restaurant and not enough people are looking at it closely. “One of the the bartenders made a comment. He said, their parents are driving very luxury cars and put this children to work! leave you with that note just so that you can see what these parents are doing and they’re exploding their children selling candy. This place is not a family friendly place! There are multiple options where you can take...
Read moreMy husband and I, having driven an hour to try Ojos Locos on June 3rd, 2024, were excited for a relaxing meal around 10:30PM. We were aware of their closing time at 12 AM and felt there was ample time to dine comfortably. Upon arrival, the restaurant wasn't busy, and we were seated promptly. We placed our order for food and drinks with the waitress, who informed us the kitchen was closing soon if we wanted to order more food. I’m glad we didn’t. Shortly after we began eating, a security guard named Kevin approached our table and curtly informed us that we had only 15 minutes to finish our meal. We explained that we had just started eating and, considering the time displayed on the clock (11:20PM), there was still more than 40 minutes until closing. I also have a medical condition, which necessitates slow eating. Feeling pressured, we tried to eat as quickly as possible, but it was impossible to finish our entire meal and drinks within the 15-minute timeframe. The situation was further worsened by the cleaning staff using strong pine sol solution on the floors, which unpleasantly impacted the taste of our food. The security guard returned about 20 minutes later and reiterated, in a rude manner, that we needed to leave immediately. We requested the waitress to pack our unfinished food as we were still hungry. We also expressed our dissatisfaction with the service to the manager on duty, Seferino Martinez. Unfortunately, he offered no apology or compensation for the rushed dining experience. Instead, he simply defended the security guard's actions, stating that he was "doing his job." He also mentioned he would "take care of us" on a future visit, but after this experience, we have no intention of returning. Especially because we live about an hour away. Disappointed and frustrated, we left the restaurant with the feeling of being unwelcome and cheated. While leaving, we overheard other patrons expressing similar experiences of being rushed out before closing time. We felt compelled to share our experience to make other diners aware of this establishment's treatment of customers.
update 6/24/24
I'm happy to report that after reaching out to corporate, Laura looked into my situation and compensated us for our meal because of the bad experience. While the initial service fell short, I appreciate Laura's intervention and the restaurant's effort to...
Read moreSo after reading a bunch of negative and positive reviews, here’s my experience.
Moved here from miami, I’ve been to Hooters and Twin Peaks, and this is like a Mexican version of both. It’s a little nicer than Hooters, more like a Twin Peaks.
There are TVs everywhere, only one game has the sound. I was there for the Dolphins vs Raiders, and that was the game on the sound ! 🐬
First, service was fantastic. Server was Justine. Super sweet, funny, and really attentive. I ordered the queso, which I thought was like the thick Mexican queso, but it was just nacho cheese, and she took it off my bill. Different girls ran the food sometimes and all were kind and attentive as well.
Atmosphere, like a big sports bar. Lots of people in different jerseys watching different games, it was packed and it was awesome.
Good, was mediocre. Like Chris Rock said, “No one goes to Hooters for wings.” The food here isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t come here specifically for food. I had the lemon pepper chicken sandwich. And it was good bar food.
So as for a sports bar with pretty waitresses and TVs, this place rocks. The service was great, I’m not sure what people were complaining about. The worst part about the place is the food could be a little better. But it’s not BAD. My friend has the chicken salad and he said it was good as well.
Not sure how many of the girls have actual server experience, but to my experience they did a great job. It’s not a 5 Star or Michelin restaurant. You’re not ordering Duck l’orange (however it’s spelled). Get over it.
The girls are beautiful. They’re also sweet. I asked Justine if she could get a couple girls for a picture and they happily obliged. The outfits aren’t scandalous. You can see more at the beach and sometimes the gym. They’re “cheeky” skirts. It’s family friendly, it’s not obscene, there’s no nudity.
I assume the people with negative reviews are either jealous, hate their own lives, or tried hitting on a waitress and got denied.
So, if you like sports and pretty women and cheeky outfits. This is a great spot. If it were closer I’d be...
