Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Downingtown

I ordered 4 mango gilati I didn’t want the ice cream in it due to my family members not liking it inside. So I asked if I could get it on the side. The girl taking my order said no, I couldn’t she offered to sell me a kids ice cream and charge me full price for my mango ice, I repeatedly asked I wanted it on the side, and I didint wanna pay additional for a side of ice cream. She said no again and finally said I’ll ask the manager, the manager also said no, I really don’t understand I told her you can just make it normal but don’t put any ice cream. Put it on the side. she made excuses and said we are a franchise and the measurements would be different we can’t I believe that’s the word she used but anyway. She said no we can’t create our own ice cream because of the company!!! If this is true Rita’s needs to review and change this so no other customer leaves unsatisfied it’s unfair and not appreciated , also not appropriate how can you charge someone for a side of ice cream if your gilati brings ice cream in it. you just want it on the side. Please let my voice be heard and Rita’s do something about...

I usually have good service at this location, but tonight, the young gentleman, Aiden, left me with a dissatisfied experience. My sister asked about grape water ice, to which he said they didn’t have any, which is fine. However, he added “if it makes you feel any better, we had it yesterday.” That did not, in fact, make her feel better. He forgot our order and then said it had been a slow day and he just wanted to eat his cheesesteak. Very unprofessional coming from someone who has worked in the food service industry for almost seven years. The strawberry water ice also was not pumped enough and there were a ton of ice chunks. Rita's is always a wonderful thing to enjoy on a hot summer day or to start out the spring season. I have frequented this location many times. They always have a line, but they keep the line moving quickly. They have a great selection and their service is always with a smile. I tend to bring my dog and love that they have something on the menu for her. The only reason why I am giving this location a 4 star and not a 5 is because their parking lot is small and it is sometime so full you can't get in. Plus the line extends into the parking lot and you have to be careful when cars come in or leave. This has not stopped me from going to get my fix of...
