Poco's Restaurant, Bar & Comedy Cabaret — Restaurant in Doylestown

This is a local place that we have not visited for 10 years after a comedian tore my fiance apart in total embarrassment .

I take care of a severely brain injured man who loves comedy.

I was desperate to find something for him to give him a break. Some joy in his sad life of hell.

He has never had a vacation or outing in his life. Or vacation but with what I paid for our humiliating life and uber we could have had our dream night at the shore. That was my budget for the shore I didn't know I was going to spend so much to be kicked out of a place and have a rotten time.

Sometimes I wish I never rescued him from a home of all of his youth w no physical therapy. No lights black mold yo walls and decal matter going out his walls.

Yes no one cares but christ why the hell could he not laugh at a freaking comedy show.

The food sucked forget about a mexican restraunt with no hot peppers it was gross. No better than a cheap pizzeria with no pizza.

He will never trust anyone or me again because of this horrible detrimental experience that he had to endure at pocos. He is not a total retarded person and has a normal personality on the surface.

We were kicked out before main act because joey laughed too loud. They told me I also laughed to loud when I am meek and quiet and never laughed as the act was not funny.

I was desperate for something for Joe to do that will make him happy because his life is extremely low.

I can't even afford food let alone the sefenty dollar override and the $67 we spend on horrible food that wasn't even true MexicanAnd a $44 that weeps spent to go in to a comedy club that we were kicked out of because he was disabledThat was his summer vacation one stupid night out for something that wasn't funny and humiliating because he got kicked out he felt like krapp afterwards he cried all night long. Shame on people who think they're...

Poco's offers an authentic Mexican Cantina vibe. It doesn't have the chain restaurant feel like many others. Staff is steady here so we seem to have become regulars although we probably go only once a month. One waitress even remembers our kids' names.

For the food... The chips and salsa are super fresh. There's 2 kinds of salsa brought with the chips but my wife and I are fire breathers and were tipped off long ago to their super hot salsa which you have to ask for. We always order a large guacamole which the kids devour. The rest of the food is excellent as well. Just like with the salsa, they have different levels of 'hot' here . The "Ethel & Lucy" is a spicy ground beef mixture that will satisfy most people's heat craving but if you're looking to get seriously scorched, go with the Green Mary Lou. Either shredded beef or shredded chicken in any of the dishes in which they're offered will get your taste buds jumping. The taste is awesome but be warned, these dishes are HOT !

Booze... They have a decent draft selection with the obligatory Mexican choices like Dos Equis, Corona, & Modelo among others including a couple craft beers. Margaritas are strong and tasty.

Dessert... There's ice cream to cool down after the taste bud meltdown. The usual chocolate and vanilla along with a specialty flavor which rotates regularly always end our kids' meals. We haven't tried any other of the desserts but if they are like everything else here, they are worth a try.

If you find yourself in Doylestown and enjoy Mexican, visit Poco's. It will be a thoroughly pleasant dining experience.

Went here today after work at approximately 4pm. Was greeted by the rudest woman ever. I was with a co-worker and we were meeting other co-workers for an impromptu get together. This woman asked if we would be gathering at the bar and we said no a table. She proceeded to lecture us that we could not sit at a table if we were not going to eat food...we asked if appetizers counted and she said yes, but wait there's more! So then she wanted to know how many people because she could not seat us without knowing how many people were coming...IT WAS IMPROMPTU...UNTIL ALL ARRIVED WE DIDNT KNOW! At this point there was only 2 of us and we were not asking to be seated. We were just standing in the entry way waiting for others to arrive. Well after the third degree ended we looked at each other said ok and turned around and left. You know if the place was busy I maybe could understand but I had walked thru 2 minutes before to see if any of my friends were there and there were 3 older gentlemen at the bar. That's all! It was 4 pm, was there going to be an onslot of people arriving? No one was sitting at any tables. There was 3 people at the bar...I'm a person who works hard too. I treat people with respect and just cannot understand how and why people are so disrespectful to others. Not a fan of Pocos....SORRY and no I don't know her name..she was blonde wearing a pink shirt..not a young woman but not old either...today's date is 2/1/2017 and not that this should matter, we are adult women, however we were treated like...
