Carrabba's Italian Grill — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

My prior post which was posted 3 years have change Considerably. Now 3 years later on November 6th 2023. My belief is the food chain here for Carrabba's is going Downhill. The service was not all that great the food was cold. And the staff was without or excitement. I might visit another Carrabba's at another location but I don't think I will visit this one again. The spaghetti was warm the meatballs were one was hot and the other two were cold. The cheese didn't even melt. Not a very good sign for hot food. I would have complained but I don't think it would have done any good because the manager was not even interested. Of course I would have probably cook the food long enough to satisfy me. I had a new photo of the food that I was eating. As you see the cheese was not Melted. Most definitely not really satisfied with this restaurant anymore.

Today I was at Carrabba's Italian Grill in Lake Buena Vista off of Vineland Road. This place I visited many times. One of my favorite places to go to. But today I was just disappointed. I ordered my usual spaghetti and meatballs. It was lukewarm but I didn't send it back because it would take too long to get it redone again. I understand covid has diminished the workforce by serious numbers. It appears that nobody seems to want to work not even for this establishment. There was no one happy or smiling not even my waitress when she approached me. I didn't see no Smiles on any other employee not even the assistant manager if that's who she was nor the cooks, the only smiles I saw was on the hostess that showed me to my table. I had two loaves of bread with my dinner the first one I got was cold the second one I got was hot. The hostess at the door as I met her before was very polite and happy to see me back she remembered me. But it seems like workers like to complain or don't want to work. I sat at my usual table but they had no servicers for that area but I sat there anyway because that's what I wanted. The hostess went off looking for somebody to wait on me at that table or that wanted to serve a customer and the server I got didn't seem to be impressed about wanting to work that table nor she didn't look too happy. I ordered a beer which took 20 minutes to get from an empty restaurant and I believe there was like four other tables that were occupied at the time. There was only two servers her and somebody else and the servers that were supposed to come in didn't come in until an hour later. But today I was disappointed about the service and the quality of the food and the attitude of the servers but they were all smiles when they took my money. The only thing I wanted to do was hurry up and eat and get out of there. I didn't feel comfortable and it felt like I wasn't wanting or my timing was bad for their restaurant. I know I'll come back but if the same situation arouses I know I will probably just turn around and walk out and go someplace else. Being disappointed about one of my favorite restaurants is disappointing in itself. Don't have no idea where the management was at or who it's was. It wasn't the same one that I've always see. if that was a manager or assistant manager. But I understand she struggles with the fact of getting the restaurant open and serving guests. Big disappointment all...

We meet some friends here for dinner. I was amazed that there wasn't a wait because our Carrabba's has a line out the door. I soon realized that the lack of service probably had a lot to do with that. Our server seemed to be tending bar too but there was no one at the bar. He took our orders and that was the last he spoke to us. Other servers brought our salads and food. The servers didn't seem to know what the food was and we had to figure out whose food it was. I wanted butter for my potatoes but there was no one to ask. No refills on our drinks either. We shared waters. Finally, one person in our group went to the bar to ask our server for water. We did see our server when he went to the table behind us to flirt with the two girls sitting there. The food was decent but certainly not worth the price. I had Chicken Bryan. My salad was soaking wet and wilted. I had two very small pieces of chicken, about the diameter of a manderin orange. I did get a large portion of potatoes but they were dry. Butter would have helped. My meal was more than $20. We were all disappointed in the experience. I definitely would not recommend this location. Edit to say that that I was asked to contact them so they could correct the situation. I took my time to do that. I still have not heard back from them.

I'm editing this again to say the manager did finally call me. He is new to the restaurant, just started after we were there. He discussed my concerns and he listened and said he knew there was work to be done. I was very impressed and wished him luck turning things around. I will never go back to this place!!! We paid over $200 for the lack of class pasta plate and for the worse salad that I have ever seen!! Horrible, the lettuce was like it came straight from the garbage, when we putted on a side an told our server that we didn’t want it he didn’t ask why? Or what he could do? Or apologized!!! In fact he left the dishes there for the whole dinner, dirty dishes were never picked up from our table after the appetizers, the table service was horrible and unprofessional, the waitress couldn’t put even the plates in front of who was eating, the way were served matched the horrible aspect of all the staff, we felt like we were on a charity place and the staff were homeless working… all the tables were dirty and nobody was paying attention after people were leaving to clean and have ready the table for the next guest… the whole restaurant looks dirty… we we didn’t leave? Because it was our daughter birthday and she invited a friend, we didn’t want to ruin her special dinner but we NEVER will give this place any business!! The worse pricey experience of our lives!!!! Praying that none of us get sick for the food or for the waitress unsanitary aspect.! We went there for first and last time because we had an amazing gift card that we could use in other three restaurants! I highly regretted used $250 gift card at this place!!! We could enjoy our special occasion in any of the other places but our love for Italian food sent us...
