Waitress decided to throw a fit to her manager very publicly about her not wanting to serve us because we were drunk & âwonât tip well.â When you have 3 tables & youâre standing 15 feet from your table in question, itâs probably not bright to loudly express that you donât want to serve 1/3 of your tables. Also - letâs take a minute & think - if you donât want to serve drunk customers - maybe donât apply for the night shift at a breakfast spot which resides in the same strip mall as 5 dive bars. I imagine half your customers are drunk if not more. Youâre at a 24hr spot that is a 5 minute walk away from the Paddywagon. We were drunk - hence the 1 AM outing to Dennys, lol. Im also typing this at 2 AM, if that helps you gage how dysfunctionally drunk we were, given I can type this review just fine. :) Still tipped 20% though, because I work in hospitality but make a tad bit more than you, & am always feeling generous. You certainly didnât earn a dime, though. Hope you get some rest & find a job in retail or manual labor! Iâm sure thereâs another $10/hr position in the Orlando suburbs thatâll be more accommodating towards your needs, & will keep you away from the general public.
Food served its purpose. It wasnât good, it wasnât bad, it was expensive for what it was. I can name several Michelin starred restaurants where you could get a meal for less money. Probably wonât come back as Iâm not in town often. Even if I was, thereâs an iHop right across the street; Iâll go check them out next time Iâve been out on a Friday night, at the numerous dive bars that surround your establishment - canât highlight enough, you applied to work at this location, & a comatose person couldâve guessed what type of customers youâd have at 1 AM. Not the best $50 Iâve spent.
Also, this is nitpicky, but theyâve got no waffles on their menu. There isnât a waffle machine in the building. Grow up,...
Read moreToday, we brought our two toddler children to this restaurant, and the experience was terrible because we encountered a racist. When we arrived, we stood at the entrance for three minutes, and no one came to guide us. Holding our two children, we kept looking for a server, and after three minutes, a red-haired woman slowly stood up from a nearby seat. It turned out she had been sitting there the whole time, chatting with others and completely ignoring us.
We told her we needed a high chair, but she didnât provide one. We had no choice but to hold our kids on our laps and feed them ourselves. Later, when we finished eating and stood at the entrance to pay, the same red-haired woman continued to ignore us. She bypassed us and went straight to serve the guests who had just arrived behind us.
We stood there patiently with our children and credit card, waiting. At first, we waited while she seated the first and second tables, still being patient. But as more and more guests entered, she continued to ignore us and refused to help us check out, focusing only on seating the other guests. I finally said, âCan you help us check out? The kids really want to leave.â She responded, âYou wait.â The guest she serve looked as with empathy, and said" we are sorry, you don't deserve this. She is rude."
Anyway, this was a very bad experience. To the red-haired waitress: you are a racist who discriminates against people of color. We feel sorry for you. Clearly, you werenât educated properly, and your mother didnât raise you to be a good person. Thatâs why both of you are working in a restaurant at an old age.
I hope that in the future, youâll have the chance to go to college, improve your manners and worldview, and become a better person....
Read moreBEWARE... Unethical billing practices by server. We ate at this location yesterday afternoon and our server, Tara H, engaged in unethical bill practices by driving up our bill. We ordered a couple of omelets and asked that she substitute the toast for the pancakes - something that we've done for years. We received the bill and Tara "Added Pancakes" while also including white bread. This drove up the bill by $2.00 each for a total of $4.00. When we brought this up to Tara at the register, she lied to us and stated that Denny's no longer allows substitutions. This is simply false. In fact, if you attempt to order the same meals online for pickup, it allows me to substitute toast for pancakes. Tara deliberately drove up our bill in an effort to drive up her tip amount. Unethical practices.... beware and carefully check your bill! The food was actually pretty good, but because of what Tara H did, we won't be going...
