Halal Latin Food ( La Estrella ) — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

Although this is a rare find as halal Hispanic food is hard to come across I will say I'm highly disappointed in their service. I spend over $80 including tip and waited over 30 minutes for our food to he ready. When my buzzer went off to alert us our food was ready and I walked up to get it the 2 guys working the truck said they gave our food away to the wrong people. When the person they gave our food to came back to return the order the guys at the truck tried to just hand it to us which is so gross! Like someone else already touched it and put their germs all over it. So we had to wait basically another 30 minutes for them to remake everything again. We had to stand right by the truck to make sure this didn't happen again as they were just putting the food out in trays without verifying orders with people. Since our food was rushed the quality of our food was really poor and sloppy. Everything was falling apart and not well made. You guys should really verify orders with people going forward so this doesn't happen to someone else and close the food tray instead of leaving it all open while everyone is standing around and...

This is the BEST halal tacos I have had. Period. I am here from from Toronto and I always tried to find halal Latin food there. I have found it but it was no where close to this. After a disappointing day at Disney with expensive and unsatisfactory food, this made our night!! Absolutely phenomenal food! I may just come back to Orlando for your food. Trust me. Great halal food truck which uses high quality ingredients and has a really nice variety of latin food. I did not know what a papusa was until I ate here, and boy was it tasty! The owner affirmed that he sources chicken from crescent, so there's no ambiguity on halal status. I have had burritos, tacos, empanadas, carne asada, and pollo con papas and they were all excellent.

I drive 40 minutes to the Jama Masjid near Disney at least once a month to get the food here, and then have a Dole Whip Pineapple float at Disney Springs. Awesome...
