I don't do a lot of reviews, but this was so gross I felt I really should. I just went there last night and even though there were 4 or 5 girls working there and not really ALL that busy for a Saturday night everyone seemed frazzled and our single milkshake took a while. On top of that, the girl running the counter set down a milkshake in front of me looking at me expectantly so I put a straw into it. I looked at it and realized it was white, so obviously not the chocolate shake I had ordered and she said that it was another guy's behind me. She ended up just handing it to him... after I had put my hands on the straw that went into his drink. Yes, it was my mistake, but she asked me if I had taken a drink of it and I said no, but I'm preeeetty sure it's against the health code to even let him have the drink after another customer had touched it at all. It's at very least very very gross. I was going to be sharing my milkshake with my boyfriend, but that skeeved me out to the point of not wanting any at all. My boyfriend and I generally love Twistee Treat because of their root beer milkshakes. The last two times we've gone (which were within days of each other), there was visible cross contamination. My milkshake tasted like it had a hint of peanut butter (in a rootbeer milkshake). If that had been my boyfriend's drink, he would have had an allergic reaction. The other night there we chunks from other flavors in it? I'm so confused and genuinely concerned about cross contamination and cleanliness for people with allergies. If something happened to my boyfriend, we'd have a huge problem. I understand inherent risks going anywhere with ingredients being in the same place, but my milkshake shouldn't taste like two different flavors.
