We were staying out on International Drive for the weekend to attend a friend's Christmas party. On Sunday morning, we decided we wanted to go out to Breakfast. We were obviously presented with a myriad of choices of where to eat breakfast. The group consensus was to value economy above all else. I'm a self proclaimed "Foodie", I usually prefer more Upscale food and service that includes a Upscale price tag. The restaurant I suggested was deemed "too expensive", so I was overruled and begrudgingly went with the group to the IHOP, that was walking distance from the hotel. Upon arrival, we could instantly tell they were obviously very busy for 10:00am on a Sunday morning. We had a party of six and we were seated quickly. That's the best thing I could say about this experience going forward. The horrendous experience began when we were left waiting in our booth for about 15-18 minutes, before any servers acknowledged our existence. The table was very wet and extremely sticky with syrup residue. There was previously used flatware still remaining on the table. The experience was not starting out well, to say the least. When a server finally arrived, she was the most unprofessional, pushy, impatient, loud, rude person that I have encountered in all my years of dining out. She spoke broken English with a thick Spanish accent. We could hardly understand what she saying. She didn't speak to us, she shouted at us. She was startling loud, given the energetic atmosphere of the dining room. She only shouted quick insensible questions about the food and the menu items. She asked several times if we wanted coffee, and we told her each time "No!" She kept asking "YOU WANT COFFEE?", we finally gave up. She attempted to take everyone's order in the best way she could. None of us are bilingual and you could definitely tell that there was a obvious language barrier. When we finished ordering, she asked "ONE CHECK?" We told her we wanted separate checks. Her rude reply was "EACH? FOR EVERYONE?" I had enough at this point and replied "Yes, Separate checks. You got a problem with that?". There was no response, she rolled her eyes and left the table. When the drinks arrived the nightmare continued, everything was incorrect. She obviously didn't understand what we were ordering, except for her one constant question "YOU WANT COFFEE?". The food arrived shortly afterwards and once again, everything was incorrect and missing items. I never received my crepes I ordered until halfway through the meal. My friends were almost finished with their meals, when my crepes finally arrived. The server tried to be funny by saying "YOU USUALLY ONLY GET ONE. YOU GOT TWO. YOU VERY LUCKY". I was totally over it at this point and all I could manage was a weak, insincere smile as a reply. After the meal had ended, and the checks had arrived, this server hovered at the table, watching like a hawk, for each diner to present their payment. I tipped 15% gratuity on the $17.99 total, which I think was very generous of me, considering the horrendous experience and subpar service. Long story short, if you're looking for breakfast on International Drive, on a busy Sunday morning, avoid this IHOP location. Thank me later. Merry Christmas...

Read moreTo begin with our Waitress name was Loubna.
iHop and Dennys on a Sunday morning it is expected for the wait to be longer than usual. My son ordered a milkshake, and my partner and I ordered coffee. Although it was very busy my son’s milkshake took 40 mins to get done. Our food was brought to us, we were almost done and the milkshake was still nowhere to be seen, even though I asked the waiter how much longer she kept saying it’s coming. After his milkshake came we asked for the check since we were pretty much done eating, Loubna brought out check and said please circle one of the tips options shown in the receipt you cannot tip any other amount. Our service with her wasn’t the best, but I will tip, I just didn’t think she deserved 18% or 20% and I rounded my tip to be $60 leaving her a tip of like $6 and some change. Also, why are you asking me to circle a tip option if after I get charge I will have the option to either leave more or less than the RECOMMENDED options. She brought back my card and my receipt where we usually put the tip, and we made it $60 flat, she said you told me 18% I put in computer 18%, mind you the discussion about the tip happened with me not my partner. She is forcing people to tip 18% or 20%. I understand the tipping culture but at the end of the day you need to earn it, and like I said I tip for the service I get, and 11% is what I thought she deserved specially after feeling entitled to pick her own tip. She is pretty much scamming people, and if the manager of this place doesn’t do anything, they will end up getting a lawsuit because she is adding more tip in the system than the customers have agreed on. I took a photo of my receipt of what I left and I hope I do not see anything more reflected on my statement. She needs to be retrained. Not coming back...
