The day of our wedding, Mohamed failed to provide the service we paid for. He showed up 3 hours late for our wedding reception!! My family members tried calling and emailing when Mohamed did not show up on time and were unable to reach him. Due to him showing up late, our appetizer service did not start until dinner (we were supposed to have appetizers served during our cocktail hour which did not happen, leaving our guests hungry until start of dinner). This was BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. This resulted in a delay in the start of our food service. This was incredibly stressful for my family and my other reception vendors involved!! When Mohamed arrived late, it was clear that he was not prepared at all for catering our dinner service. One example among many - he served MELTED ice-cream for dessert.
I reached out to Mohamed, incredibly upset the day after our wedding and in the weeks that followed. He took ZERO accountability for his actions and continued to falsify the situation saying "he lost his phone," "showed up only an hour late." He said he would refund us for the appetizers, which he never did. I called him for MONTHS after our wedding, and he did not answer calls or emails. I reached out to restaurant, leaving messages with no response. To this day have not received any compensation for his unacceptable actions and failure to provide the catering service we paid for.
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT HIRE MOHAMED FOR ANY CATERING SERVICES IN ORLANDO!! He is beyond unprofessional and you will NOT receive the quality of food and service you are paying for. This experience was very frustrating and disappointing - something you especially do not want to experience on your...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a ‘perfect nightmare’ experience with all the bonus features such as uncooked food, wrong order, waiting 30mins (when the restaurant is empty), indoor temperature just as warm as outside (in 90 degrees), smelly bathroom, extremely arrogant owner, worn out chairs(flaky leather), super nasty ceiling tiles (rat urine stains on tiles, maybe)….. this will be the place to dine! You will walk out in complete disgust, probably furious, feeling ripped off, and ready to jump the owner (the gut feeling, this food was deliciously poisoned or might cause food poisoning by the time you get home). At least that’s how I felt walking out of the restaurant and leaving my chicken order unfinished. I was not sure why the chicken was floating in gravy when the order was for dry cooked chicken. The bread (naan) was also burnt. As for the owner, he doesn’t take any action if you complain. While I was waiting for the owner to share my floating chicken issue, another customer was shocked when she was served soggy samosas and the manager called it, ‘here are your fresh samosas!’ I waited 15mins for the owner and then I left since it was clear that he was super busy taking care of his personal calls instead of attending customer complaints. You will find him talking away on his phone nonstop. It makes perfect sense if you think about it …. What is more important, talking to a ‘Hot date’ or talking to a fuming customer at the end of the day. According to the owner’s attitude and actions…. customers are not important. If they have a problem, they can go to another restaurant. International drive location is a perfect customer trap since they know most customers are tourists so there’s no need to waste time taking care of their needs. I am not too sure about all the positive reviews (I have a bad feeling… they could mostly be fake or the owner might have paid people to increase his rating to bring it close to 4stars). If anyone ends up in ER, don’t blame the owner, he is working super hard to run a ‘3.8’ star establishment. Managers and owners are not sincere and honest. Food quality is not important, customer service is not important, just the rating is valuable. Don’t not be fooled by the ratings. In the meantime, I just wanted to share my Not-So-Amazing...
Read moreSuch a disappointment!! Me and my family have been coming here for many years, every time we were in Orlando it was our go to Indian and we would always recommend it but never again. The new renovation is much better than before but don't let that fool you. When we arrived we were informed that alot of the menu items weren't avaliable because of a menu change which wasn't to bad as they still had a few of our favourites in. The prices have gone up but as I didnt mind spending money on what I thought would be good food so I ordered. I ordered 2 mixed grills, a vindaloo and kids nuggets and fries. The mixed grills came out sizzling hot like they had in previous visits but the food was disgusting, if I had a dog and he was starving I still wouldn't give it to him. The meat tasted like it wasn't real meat, then chicken had a layer on it that scrapped off like a paste, it was mush and there was only about 30% meat on each chunk. Grilled chicken tikka doesn't spread like paste. The beef seemed the same the meat didnt taste like beef it looked like 3D printed meat, you could scrape the knife across It and layers of paste came off each piece. The only real meat that was 100% was the leg and thigh and they looked well seasoned but was very bland. This restaurant has gone downhill, they are using cheap ingredients not fit for consumption and over pricing them. This is probably 1 of the only times I can remember having to spit the food back on my plate. Its truly a major disappointment as its another 1 of international drives greats restaurants now becoming a do not visit. The Vindaloo was ok, definitely didn't taste like a Vindaloo, there was no spice to it at all but it was edible. I have had better microwave curries. The kids nuggets and fries were exactly that overpriced frozen but it is what it is. On a positive note the onion barges were good they made me think I would be in for a great meal but sadly that's...
