according to my checkin app ive been here 26 times but it's easily double that. i have always wondered how other's viewed this wendy's so low and tonight, i've discovered why. i ordered 5 orders of 4 piece chicken nuggets (20 pieces) with sauce.
i went through the drive-through tonight, with some rain during the order post and then at the "second" window where you pay. the window employee told me to "pull into the first parking spot" pointing to the right, the first parking spot next the the stop sign and under a tree. i didn't ask why but i figured since there was a white dodge durango truck sitting there since before i got to the payment window that was a justified request.
15 minutes past while i waited in the car, while i watched at least 5-7 cars drive behind me and leave through the drive-through with their food. at about the 20 minute mark, when the white durango finally left the drive-through lane, i reversed out and parked where the white durango parked.
i walked inside, stood in line to get to the 1 cashier employee, and i asked her for a refund since its been 30 minutes and i still haven't had my food from the drive through. the cashier employee - wearing a white uniform, called for someone in the back, then she left.
another woman asked me if i was in the drivethrough, i said yes. she said "we do go outside when it's raining". i replied to her, "the guy at the window told me to park in the first spot."
she responded, "that's not the right place, you just pull up front". i replied, " I couldn't, there was a white truck parked there".
i am still not sure what the point of this exchange with me, as a paying customer was. why didn't they have this exchange of words with their window employee who told me to move from the drive through window and park under the tree where they would get wet if it was raining? of course, the supervisor in the white uniform was only half witnessing to this exchange, she left as soon as the other employee started talking to me.
i took my refund and left. i will gladly drive 10 minutes further and deal with the insane millenia traffic then be treated like a third rate citizen. if i didn't know any better i would think that the color of my skin was part of the reason of my poor service but that is an entirely different issue.
tldr; don't expect any service at the drive-through if you order a meal when it rains or something complicated like 20 chicken nuggets and a few packets of...
Read moreWe arrived around 8:45 pm on 6/26 at the Turkey Lake FL Turnpike rest stop in Orlando. Their website stated they are open until 10 pm. We ordered using the self serve order system. Upon walking up to the counter we were met with, “We are out of tea. You can get lemonade or soda.” Very rude young female employee. No greeting. No smile. What happened to, “Welcome to Wendy’s?” First words, “We don’t have any tea.” No apology. No explanation. I asked if that meant, “Ever?” No, just right now. Two options given, none acceptable because I drink neither. Got water. No refund offered and I paid more for tea. Another customer asked for sauce. Another, older, female employee gave no eye contact and tossed it across the counter. While we were waiting for our order the rude young girl came out and arranged the belt barriers to indicate they were closing. Two customers walked away! They actually turned away business! I ordered a wrap combo, my husband a single cheese combo. My wrap was torn open and falling apart. It looked manhandled by the male employee who scowled at us several times as he put together our order. My husband’s burger not fresh. The two orders of Fries were old, inedible and had to be thrown away. This is the turnpike location. We had been traveling by plane all day. Nothing else was open at the turnpike. Our choice was limited, you cannot get off and on the turnpike at will. There are several conclusions we might draw from this rude exchange, but given the time of day, it’s obvious that these employees were upset about our late order, wanting to be shed of Wendy’s for the day. Great attitude that has clearly been set through example by management. I used to work for Wendy’s. I can assure you this would never be allowed. I would have been terminated on the spot! Wendy’s, you have a responsibility, especially in this location, to provide people with proper food while maintaining friendly customer service, no matter the time of day. We spent over $23.00 for terrible food served with a spiteful attitude. Would have been better off with a...
Read moreArrived at Wendy’s at 7:46pm after a 10 hour day of surgeries expecting to get a quick bite to eat. Sat in a long drive thru line and didn’t think much of it, just a busy night. Arrive at the speaker to take my order and was told to wait. Again, didn’t think much of it, busy night. After about 6 minutes of silence, a lady spoke and said that she was ready for my order. I gave her my whole order, only to hear no reply. Just silence. So I waited for them to respond, and they did a few minutes later saying they were trying to get customers moving. Gave her half my order again, only for the same thing to happen midway through my order. So when she finally came back to the speaker again I gave her my whole order again and got more silence, so I said I was just going to pull up to the window… Finally got my order and got home around 8:33… Only to discover my baconator had no bacon. So I drive all the way back to the store expecting to walk inside and get another baconator with bacon. But no, doors were locked so I had to wait in the drive thru line AGAIN… Waited another 15minutes in the drive thru (it’s around 8:50). Got to the speaker to tell them I didn’t receive bacon on my baconator only to hear coworkers in the background saying “Uh ohhhhhh”…. Finally ate my sandwich over an hour after my initial order (12 hours no food in operating room)…This is absolutely, unfathomably the worst experience I’ve had at any fast food restaurant. After looking over very similar reviews in the last 2 WEEKS, something needs to be done here. There is clearly no management present or desire to serve the community at this...
