A few friends and I came here for my birthday last night, and while the food was absolutely incredible, I’m giving this place 1 star due to the shockingly poor service.
We had a 7:30pm reservation and arrived around 7:20. Being early, we didn’t expect the table to be ready—but we did expect to be acknowledged. It took nearly 10 minutes for anyone to even notice us. When the host finally approached, we gave her our reservation name. She walked away without saying a word and didn’t speak to or even look at us again for another 20 minutes, despite greeting and updating other parties who arrived after us.
I’m not sure if those guests had reservations, but several were seated before us while we stood waiting with no explanation. Around 7:40, the host finally said, “We assume you don't want the 8-top table that's available. It's a big table.” We accepted, only because we were exhausted after a 4-hour drive to Orlando and close to leaving.
There were only three of us at the table, but service remained slow and cold. Our waitress seemed annoyed anytime we asked for anything. At one point, we literally had to raise our hands to order another round of cocktails. The food came out staggered—the first dish arrived a full 10 minutes before the others. That person waited so we could eat together, and her meal went cold. Meanwhile, we watched other (larger) tables receive all their food at once with noticeably better service.
We also noticed the host handed drink menus to every table we saw being seated—except ours. We had to specifically ask for one. For spending over $200 on food, we expected a bit better service.
All three tables around us received birthday desserts. We had asked for no singing at our table, but no one even offered a dessert or acknowledged the occasion.
At first we wondered if we were being treated differently because of how we were dressed—but given the casual vibe of the place, plastic menus, and other guests in athletic wear/jeans and tshirts, it didn’t seem like a place where you had to be dressed to the nines.
I worked as a front-of-house manager for over seven years, and I’ve never seen service so disorganized or guests treated so indifferently. The food itself was easily a 10/10, but the front-of-house experience ruined what should have been a special night. I can’t recommend this place, no matter how great the kitchen is—because the rest of the experience just...

My grandson, a proud Marine Corps veteran, wanted to make my 69th birthday special. He went out of his way to make a reservation at Fresco, an hour’s drive from Clermont, and even called ahead to request that three Tiramisu desserts be set aside for the occasion. This small gesture was his way of ensuring my birthday would be unforgettable – and it was, but not for the reasons we’d hoped.
When we arrived, the owner, Theresa, greeted us, and we were seated. Everything seemed perfect. The waitress even confirmed with my grandson, “You’re the one who called for the three Tiramisu,” and reassured us they had them ready. My grandson beamed with pride, knowing he had planned this special detail for me.
But then, everything fell apart. As dinner was being served, we noticed another waitress walking past us with a Tiramisu. Moments later, a waiter came over and casually said, “Oh, I’m sorry, we only have two Tiramisu left,” and laughed. Laughed. My grandson, visibly upset, reminded them of the call and the confirmation we received upon arrival. Despite this, there was no apology, no effort to correct their mistake, nothing.
Watching my grandson, who served our country with honor, be disrespected like this was heartbreaking. He had tried so hard to make this day special, and they took that away from him. My 69th birthday, which should have been a joyful celebration, was ruined by the careless, thoughtless actions of the staff at Fresco.
As a veteran myself, this experience was deeply upsetting. It felt like a slap in the face to my family and to all those who sacrifice for others. To any veterans or anyone who values respect and integrity, please avoid this place. They don’t care about their customers, and they certainly don’t care about honoring their commitments.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Fresco deserves zero stars, and my family and I will never step foot in this...
