Four trips here and they always struggle getting the order right. There's definitely a communication barrier here which is unfortunate when it's required to take an order. This last trip, I ordered a broiled Chicken sandwich add mushrooms and cheese, no mayo. The girl taking the order totally didn't understand what I was saying. She tried, she was very nice, but she just couldn't understand what I was saying. I sit down and hope for the best. My order arrives at my table and it's the standard broiled chicken sandwich. It has mayo and none of the upgrades I asked her to add. I said there's no swiss or mushrooms, she said I'm sorry, I forgot. She takes them back to the cooks, and comes back before they have been remade and asks what kind of cheese? I've already said swiss 4-5 times. The order gets remade, and it arrives with the swiss, but instead of mushrooms, it's mustard. Rather than attempt getting a third order and it being wrong, I just eat what's in front of me and call it a day. This is actually the third time this has happened. I always give the benefit of the doubt, but it's obvious there is a problem so I feel the need to finally leave a review. I understand it's difficult for some to understand the language of others, I just ask management tries a little harder to ensure their employees understand at least their menu items. When you're in a position to communicate orders between the customer and cooks, this is highly important to ensure good service, correct orders, happy customers, and continued business. I'll eventually come back in hopes they take this review to heart and complete the necessary training for their staff. The quality of food is fantastic, if it could just be made correctly. Good luck moving forward. I hope to see improvements later...
Read moreThis restaurant was our second choice since our first choice has an hour wait. I should have known what to expect with the sign on the door saying basically please be patient due to the labor shortage. First off there was no line and the restaurant was nearly empty and there were at least 6 people behind the counter. We typically love these Greek burger chains and went out of our way to go to Apollo Burger over Astro burger, because I like that they don't shred their lettuce. We placed our order and tried to find a clean table. Nearly every table and/or seats in the restaurant was dirty. I think out of 36 or so tables only 2 or 3 were occupied and they were all dirty. We finally thought we found a reasonably clean table and when we approached it we discovered why, the seat was broken (see picture). When we finally settled on a less dirty table and our order was called my wife found that her burger was burned to the point that it wasn't edible. I got the Apollo Burger and it was good even though the pastrami was cold. I got the onion rings even though I had a vague memory that they weren't very good and my memory was right. Onion rings taste like they were frozen with very bland breading. I will remember next time not to get the onion rings. The fries are always good here and they didn't disappoint. They only had prepackaged fry sauce and for me it is not as good as the stuff they normally serve This was probably the worst experience I have had dinning out in recent memory. This experience definitely merited 1 star, but because I have been here when it has been good I will give it 2 stars. Furthermore the place did not seem understaffed, especially based on the number of customers, and they really had no excuse that the place...
Read moreI'm done with dealing with this location. I'm a fan of Apollo Burger, Astro, Crown and even back to Omega Burger and my family eats here a lot. The locations vary depending on if we are leaving work, school or at home. Food is great but the service at this Draper Apollo Burger is the worst. In the last 3 months I have been to this location at least 6 times and they are always late at night which is why we go here. (There is an Astro a few minutes away but they close an hour earlier.) On 4 of the visits we've been there before the scheduled 10:00 closing but they have refused to take our order. Sometimes it's 5 minutes before or 10 minutes. It upsets me but after tonight I'm complaining. Tonight we were in the drive thru 17 minutes before closing. 9:43 and they close at 10:00. The on open signs still on, cars in the drive thru, employees behind the counter and at the grill. We get to place our order and the girl answers and says "We're Closed." I say it's more than 15 minutes before closing and she replies in a loud and rude voice again "WE ARE CLOSED." Then she refused to reply back to me again. The car in front of me can't go forward because a car is at the drive thru window trying to get someone to answer and help them. The car is honking trying to get that car to move but they are trying to get the attention of the person at the window. The car starts backing into me. I can't back up because the car behind me. Finally we all signal each other and can back out and go to the front door but the lobby's closed. We can see a guy cleaning the grill, another person standing there and the girl that told us we're closed just standing there. Closing 5 minutes early is upsetting. More than 15 minutes...
