Good Corp type if Franchise, son parlez cous on Francais, but not the Asian workers according to the mother owner, but does this matter? Au container. No. But the food sure does, usually the French Asian usually means a mix of Vietnamese culture. Here it's almost Taiwanese not so much Viet. My spouse is half Thai and Japonaise(French influence on Okinawa with a USAF mix from Oregon. The beau and I mean elegant and so brightly lit. Almost as a Pharmacy in Mexico without the white lab coats. Now, dont get me wrong, I've been to France as than Paris or south of. This IS a nice addition to the Tri Valley here, but we already had the version already here too years prior on village parkway duex. In other words behind original Safeway and REI and Sage Vets. She started that one while back These people are way more customer service oriented and one of the reasons we come back and back. Second? Les tres selections. Third the Teas. Even though the competitor has tea from France , here@ PB, no jelly here, has LOCAL tea including a rare white and 3 non caffeinated. Might Leaf is more classier from Marin but does NOzt outweigh carefully sourced and fair trade and alot Organic teas from Oaklands warehouse off the 880. NUMI has chocolate tea. PB has done it again with all the whipped cream cakes with fresh pretty semi gelled cakes and slices. Gotta simply try! We've had over 14 different sin e this place day one. Best are the keep coming out(not the closet but rather the back ovens) many choices both sides off bamboo tray with classy metal tongs to grab your deli GB ht(s) and $ here isn't too bad but adds up quickly if you Go Wild. Read morePart self-serve like an Asian bakery cafe, but has more of an extensive menu, such as freshly-made sandwiches, Korean frozen popsicles. Always a wait to pay. The refrigerated cakes, single serving and whole in their cases are all so tempting.
Always a new batch of pastries coming out throughout the day. Catered to an Asian taste. Not super sweet, sugary or buttery as in traditional French pastries and baked goods. Their cakes are light and airy.
What I like about Paris Baguette is that there are Asian influences in their French pastries. Curry Croquettes (curry flavored bun). Toasted coconut flake mango puff pastry with very light, airy tasting whipped cream. One of their specialties is a croissant donut. Shaped like an old-fashioned donut, but flaky, crunchy like a croissant. There is usually a custardy cream filling in the middle. They make excellent cheesecake, more in the Japanese style than American. And I love, love their mixed berry puff pastry because the fruit is fresh, without any sugary glass.
No table service. Have to pick up you order at the pick up counter (coffee, teas). I guess this keeps costs down. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. There is always someone cleaning up / busing tables.
Many customers fill their trays full of delectables and do a lot of sharing amongst themselves because there are so many yummy things to choose from.
Kid friendly. There is a changing table in the handicapped stall in the women's restroom. They do have self-serve high chairs.
Staff is friendly. Mostly Korean (Paris Baguette is a global Korean French Bakery chain). Parking in the lot can be tough during the weekends. This place can get very...
