I must have caught this location on a bad day? I arrived for dinner, to order and take-out the "dine out for 2". Which includes 5-pcs. of chicken, two sides and two biscuits for $8.99 (national coupon).
As I gave my order to the cashier, I noticed a lot of folks waiting around in the lobby area (should have known something was up?). I thought that was odd but I didn't know exactly what was going to happen to me?
Folks were moving thru the lobby but I noticed they all were ordering that chicken sandwich. But I also noticed (after my order) that all the chicken (except for the sandwich chicken) were all out. I mean there was no crispy or regular chicken pcs. Well, my order was now past 15-minutes. I saw the sides and biscuits were put in my bag but no chicken. A guy in the back was seen running back/forth with raw chicken, trying to deep fry and put fried chicken stock back in the trays. Wow, they were cooking chicken pcs. from scratch. It was about 5pm (early). I asked the mgr. how much longer my order was going to take. She shrugged. Just barely looking at me.
I was done waiting. I was not going to wait any longer. So, I asked for a refund. Of course, that was a project too. I told the mgr. (female, colored/red hair) if she would have told me they were out of chicken pcs. and I would wait a bit longer to get my food, I would have either not ordered that or went somewhere else (which I eventually did). She didn't apologize and didn't even really acknowledge me. I figure she was so stressed out at that point, so I took the refund and left to eat somewhere else.
I strongly believe the mgr. was in way over her head. The process for making more chicken pcs. must have failed? But why didn't she just tell me that, when I placed my order. This location hasn't been the best for customer service but this was the pits today. I have other Popeyes to buy from, I will go to those instead. Never again will I visit this store.
I gave one star because I had to. No zero stars allowed?
Edit (12/27/21) - this has to be the worst run fast-food restaurant in the U.S. I tried to give this store another chance (because the chicken is good). The line of cars for take out was long (4-cars - which isn't that long but with this location it's too long). They're not even opening the inside anymore. So, I left (again). I complained to corporate and found out why this location is so bad. Corporate tried numerous times (over 3x) to gather information from me and kept emailing me blank emails (when they tried to attach a blank form to have me complete). Well, it never did arrive. No wonder some locations are all effed up? Corporate is almost as incompetent as their locations (here, in particular). I gave up after that. Pretty sorry chain. I wonder if Corporate mgmt. is aware of...
Read moreMy name is Veronika. It’s Tuesday April 26, 2022. Thus, like T-Mobile customers, I check my phone to see what types of deals they have each. Today they had Popeyes‘ Louisiana chicken. You get two pieces free if you purchase something that cost more than five dollars!
Currently, I am living in San Ramon, California. Although I prefer KFC, because I am studying to take the California Bar Exam (to become licensed to practice law in California) at 59 y.o. and an empty nester, I used “Siri” to assist me with locating the “Popeyes nearest me.” The closet one was 2.9 miles away at 7122 Regional Drive, Dublin, California, 94568. I did everything I knew to do by logging into the Popeye’s website and finding the T-Mobile Tuesday app and adding the two free pieces of chicken to my Order. I “redeemed” my code from “T-Mobile Tuesday” app and pasted it to the Popeye Mobile App.
What happened from here was a disaster:
Because there were so many customers coming back to say: “I went through the drive through and you guys got my order wrong…” I figured when my food was ready I should check it before leaving the store. I checked and the Order was very wrong;
I reported it to the “African” woman who took my order. She called over her colleague - a Hispanic looking woman who would not provide her name. I asked for a refund and without saying anything to me, she tossed my food in the trash receptacle. Unbelievable, horrible customer service. All I had asked for was a refund and this woman refused to provide me with one. I asked her for a store business card, the Hispanic looking woman responded: “We don’t have any…”
Finally, I was told by the African woman that I would need to wait until the manager came back from break to resolve my “issue.” When I asked the African woman when the manager would be back, I was advised by this African woman: “She just left…”
Recommendation: At least one or two people who are familiar with the T-Mobile Tuesdays app should be on staff at all times at Popeye’s. It’s just not professional, especially on Tuesdays.
Further, I was dignified and professional when I asked the Hispanic looking woman for a refund, and yet she threw my food in the trash. This cashier - who refused to provide her name - can not argue that she could not hear me because the more I asked the more she ignored me. I used my Apple Pay card and was charged $9.69 charge pending on my Apple Credit Card. Finally, I called tonight at 6:00 pm and advised that I just wanted to get the manager's name. "Jennifer" told me it was "Belinda" and that she was not available at that time.
Respectfully,
Veronika...
Read moreHad a pretty awful service experience. I had purchased a mobile order for pick-up ahead of time and walked into the restaurant. I was the only person standing at the counter at the time and could see that there were 3 people total running the store so I understood if I needed to wait. However I had to stand around getting strange looks from the staff for roughly 5 minutes before the gentlemen who I assume was in charge at the time quickly told me that if I wanted fast service I needed to take the drive thru, otherwise I would have to wait. I asked if they take mobile orders through the drive thru and he didn't answer my question and went back to taking drive through orders for the time being. I ended up just having to sit and wait for another 10 minutes before asking again if they would prefer I take the drive thru for my mobile app order and finally after rolling his eyes at me he asked what the name for the order was, after giving the name he grabbed the food off the end of the hotlight counter and slammed it into the bag and tossed it on the counter without saying a word and just walked back to the drive thru window to ignore me. Finally getting fed up with the hostility after standing around for something that took 5 seconds to prepare I told him that if he really doesn't want to take walk-in orders it would make more sense to lock the front door and put a note. It would have made the experience less frustrating for the both of us, and instead he just responds by being snide and saying he doesn't understand why I'm upset with a smirk on his face. Look man, I didn't respond with any attitude or hostility until you did by ignoring me the entire time and being rude and dismissive with your body language. So as a message to the boss man in charge Fernando, kindly go...
