Worst experience of my life!!! It started out well
My Boyfriend and I came to this location after difficulty with our online transaction. We already knew what we wanted, but Nana offered extra assistance and he was very funny. The transaction process was sort of long (1.5 hours) to process everything but I didn’t mind. When we returned home, we noticed that we were overcharged 10 dollars for bench and that our items were much cheaper on the website. I called the manager and she told us to come back for a price adjustment. I can’t remember her name, but she was y’all with black, shoulder length, wavy hair. We went back in today and we got a price adjustment from the manager. With all the mishaps, the great service made up for the challenges.

We were supposed to have our refund with 5 days and that was on May 22nd, it is now June 2nd.
Our items arrived. Our drop off was scheduled between the hours of 3:00-7:00pm. At 9:00am got a call from the delivery drivers saying that they were 45 minutes away and asking if they can drop off our items early. They arrived and moved in all of our items. However, one of our dressers was obviously marked up. I showed the delivery driver and he said that the marks were apart of the paint. I told him that it was not a part of the paint. He then liked his shirt and tried rubbing the marks off. Our bench couldn't be taken off of the truck because it had the wrong hardware. So 2 of our 4 pieces were not useable. The driver seemed annoyed because of our questions and unsatisfactory. If I knew we would have such bad service, I would have opted to put the bed together ourselves. I refused to sign because we didn't receive all of our items, even though they made note of the hardware and scratches. I told them I wouldn't sign and one of the drivers told me that I needed to make up my mind because they had other things to drop off. They took the dresser out to the truck and I assumed they would come back in to check on everything else. My front door and screen door were wide open. After 10 minutes I went outside to check on them and they were gone. They didn't say goodbye or that they were leaving. The didn’t even come back to get the rest of the furniture. They were very unprofessional and I wish that I would have shopped elsewhere.
I went to the store to complain the day of delivery and was told that I would have to keep the items that were left in my home, even though I did not sign for them and the delivery man left without taking them. Sierra told me that she would follow up with me the next day to get the other items delivered. After going home, I realized that I didn’t want anything else from their store. The next day Sierra called me to schedule delivery for the remaining items and I informed her that I wanted to cancel my order and that I would also like half if my delivery fee back. She let me know that she would have to ask about the delivery but I could get a refund form the bench and dresser. She said the refund should be in my account 2-3 days later, we’ll tomorrow is day 3 and I don’t have a refund yet. I am stuck with no items and no money. I am so upset with this company. Read moreWe visited the Dublin store in search of a large wall art. An Asian man greeted us at the door and said make me work. We told him we were looking for wall art we viewed online. He walked us over to the wall art we decided against because it was too dark for our home. However, we walked around and found another print we fell in love with, and we told him we wanted to buy this one. He told us the price was $239.99. My husband said he would like to put it on his Ashley credit card, and he told us there's a minimum limit to use the Ashley credit card, and that's $500. He said we would have to charge it to one of our personal credit cards, which we felt was very strange. He suggested we order it online when we got home; it struck us odd that we could not buy this right now in the store using the store's credit card. I would have to go home to buy it. We were disappointed that we could not use the Ashley credit card as other stores have no minimum limit. Can we interpret Ashley's policy as we cannot go there to buy four plates and four placemats and charge it on our Ashley credit card because it is below $500.00, which is not allowed? We walked away, puzzled. I stopped an employee walking by to inquire about a dresser. His name was William, and he informed us he was returning from lunch. If we give him a few minutes to clock in, he will gladly help us. William was a breath of fresh air, so positive, unlike the first salesperson, the negative responses. William explained each bedroom set to us. He started a shopping cart and said you have wall art in your cart. I replied yes, please remove it, He asked if we no longer want it. I said yes, we do, but the first man said we couldn't use our Ashley credit card to buy it b/c it was only $239.00, and Ashley's policy has a minimum purchase limit of $500. He said we could go home and buy it online. William apologized and said that's not true. I'd happily ring up the wall art and charge it to the Ashely credit card.
The following line is for Ashley's management team. "You need to acknowledge and praise William for saving you a customer. If he hadn't crossed our path and allowed us the opportunity to buy the wall art at that time or been 100% honest with us, you would have lost not only this sale but future sales and a customer. I suggest you speak to your team member who feeds us false information about Ashley's credit card policy because he prefers to refrain from making small purchases under $500.00. Read moreMy 5 star rating is due to the excellent customer service that my Mom and I received today from David and Abby. Our sole purpose of visiting the store today was to return a recliner that we had purchased for my Grandmother on 05/03 that, unfortunately, it did not work out for her. Because Ashley does not issue refunds once the product has been delivered, we were left with the choice of exchanging it with something else in the store. Initially, we were not too thrilled about that option. But, we took a look around the store anyway, not knowing where to begin. David checked in on us from time to time and recommended other options on chairs that might be comfortable for my 94 year old Grandmother with her needs in mind, which was so kind and compassionate of him. After a while, he had some conference calls to take, so he sent Abby over to check on us and she was absolutely wonderful and patient with us as we were totally undecided on what we wanted. We finally decided on a living room set that had a promotion going on that included a 14pc sectional w/accent pillows, a coffee table, two end tables, 2 table lamps, 5 accessories, an area rug and a throw. Abby explained to us that we did not necessarily have to stick with the tables, area rug, lamps and accessories that were on display with the couch that we had wanted and she walked us around the store to show us different color/texture/design options that we could choose from. We did not feel rushed or pressured into making any impulsive decisions. Abby wanted to make sure that we were completely happy with the choices that we were making. David helped us along the way in the middle of his conference calls. Our shopping experience was really enjoyable and we were absolutely satisfied with our purchase. We will definitely be back for our dining room set after we take some measurements and have our living room set in place. Again, David and Abby provided excellent customer service, and are professional and friendly, and if I had the option to give them 10 stars, I would. They did not pressure us at any time and they payed attention to our wants and our needs and shared so many warm smiles with us and made us feel great about doing business with Ashley Home Furniture Store. They represent your company well and will keep your customers coming back and sharing stories like this to bring in even more customers to keep your business thriving.
