Went here on a local’s recommendation and was excited to try it being as I rarely eat Indian food. The restaurant was nice and clean and felt more upscale. Our table ordered a variety of items and everything was really tasty. I do feel the portions on some items made sense for the price but others were priced too high for the portion. Ended up spending over $25/pp which was a little steep considering what we ordered. I was mostly disappointed in the service. After reading other reviews, it seems like this isn’t just me- but it felt like no one wanted to be there. Our initial server was very sweet and pleasant and then we never saw her again and it seemed impossible to get someone to check on us after that. No one made eye contact and we sat waiting for a really long time to get our bill. Had to flag someone down for to-go containers. Just seemed odd given the actual dining experience seemed more nice and attentive to start. Saw a lot of staff standing by the bar talking while we were waiting over 20 minutes after finishing eating for someone to just swing by. I wouldn’t go back, but the food was good. Hopefully they iron out their...
Read moreWe arrived about 8.45 on a holiday Sunday when they close at 9.30. We ordered pretty quickly and the food was all excellent. Great Naan and the lamb Kadhi was also amazing. There was a problem with my drink and it was replaced without charge. My problem was with the service - not our server - she was very sweet, but management. If you are seating people and serving them - it is rude in my opinion to bring them the check 15 mins before the closing time of the restaurant and when people have barely started their dinner. We paid our server, but then the manager came by telling us we just have to pay and then we can relax and take all the time we want. We already paid! Then you drop off boxes, then you turn off the music at the advertised closing time. Maybe this is an Iowa thing, but I did not find this relaxing. If you don’t want to wait for people to finish I don’t think you should start serving them. I don’t live locally, but if I did I would only...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way back to Des Moines while searching for an Indian restaurant, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! The interiors are beautifully done with warm, welcoming décor that immediately sets the mood. The ambience is calm yet vibrant, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a nice meal with family.
The food was absolutely delicious , every dish was full of authentic flavors and freshly prepared. The service stood out as well; the people here are genuinely warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. To top it off, they surprised us with complimentary mango ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
Great food, great service, and great people, this place truly has it all. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re...
