I was looking for a place to take my son and his girlfriend to. The place we originally decided on was closing soon, so we went here. Honestly, I had no clue what to expect when walking in. I never heard of the place and I didn't get to read the reviews like I normally do before going to a new place.
Okay let's get right into it. When you walk in, you'll see a long bar of assorted foods to the right. Get situated at your table. Then walk up and grab a large plastic bowl and tongs. Select all the goodies you want from the bar, but keep in mind the ENORMOUS bowl of broth (or sauce) is $13.99 and then they charge you by the pound of food you've selected in your bowl.
At the end of the bar, you'll select from several different broths and I believe there's one non-broth option. They'll weigh your bowl of food on the scale then take it back to the kitchen to cook for you.
Afterwards , they'll hand you a ticket. It will have the ticket number, the $13.99 charge for the broth, the weight of your food, and of course the total charge.
You'll go back to your seat and they'll bring the food to you when it's done. Oh wait, there's a small sauce section so if you want to get some sauce to add to your broth, it's there for the taking.
Again, it was my first time so I was trying to figure it out as I went along. With that being said, I put a little more than I needed to in my bowl. When they brought it to the table my jaw hit the ground!!! We were cracking up... I felt like one of those Makbang YouTubers, it was so big. I kept saying, there's no way I'm going to even put a dent in it!!! Guys, you've all been to those fancy Ramen places right? Paid $18+ dollars for this small to medium bowl of ramen? Well, my bowl of EVERYTHING ( pssss, gotta get the Japanese noodles) came to $25!!! In that price were three large shrimps and a whole bunch of EVERYTHING...that's a deal!!! It was like having 3 (or more) large bowls of fancy ramen or hotpot for just $25!!!
I meant to mention, for the soup base I selected their beef broth and asked for medium spicy. The sauce I created to put in my broth was garlic, green onion, soy sauce, hot chili oil, and sesame seed oil. This will be my go to!
They will serve you filtered ice cold water at no charge which I thought was cool. I could taste a squeeze of lemon ☺️. When you're done eating, you go up to pay.
I can't wait to come back with my husband. I know he'll love it! My son and his girlfriend said this will be there go to place!
Trust me when I say this, pictures do not do it justice. Seeing the bowls in person,...
Read moreLoved this unique experience. You go in, get assigned a table by the server, and then you get to make your own hotpot. You start by getting a bowl and a pair of tongs and there is a buffet of ingredients you can choose from and put in your bowl. There were a good mix of familiar and unique ingredients. I personally loved the large selection of mushrooms, baby corn and the kelp bows. There were also things like tripe, blood sausage, lamb, and fish cakes when I went. They also had a good selection of noodles, like ramen, vermicelli, rice and glass noodles. The pricing is done by weight. You choose a broth and they cook it for you in the back. They put it in a fancier bowl and get it to your table. The service was pretty fast. They also have a sauce bar if you want to add anything to your pot. You pay at the counter after your meal. The pricing was affordable compared to the large portion size, and it's a good place to bring both adventurous people and people who stick with their...
Read moreIf you love ramen and want to try new ingredients this is the place! Everything is made fresh to order! You grab a bowl and start adding the raw ingredients you want to add to your soup. The price is $13.99 per lb, if it goes over you pay a little more, so choose wisely! I pre-planned ahead I wanted a tofu seafood veggie combo. I noticed some ingredients I never tried before and was curious to try! There are over 70 ingredients to choose from. We got to the broth option and I wish they had a clear broth instead of the miso based broth, it was a bit salty. I saw there was a no broth option, which would make a great stir fry. They cook the food and arrived very fast. It was fun to search for your ingredients under the broth. Great experience, I’m not sure this can be ordered ahead of time if it was an online order. It’s better to eat it hot and...
