Masi's Pizza & Catering — Restaurant in Dundee Township

Masi's has the worst customer service I've experienced at any business in the area, and I will never go back.

My colleague and I called ahead our lunch order for pickup, and we were told by an employee that our order would be ready in ten minutes. We ordered at 11:50 for pickup around noon. Seems totally reasonable.

When we arrived shortly after noon, expecting our order to be ready so that we could make it back to work on time to actually enjoy our meal, the cooks were joking in the kitchen, and my colleague and I learned THAT THEY HADN'T EVEN STARTED OUR ORDER. We had to wait 15 minutes in the entryway for our order that should have been ready when we arrived! That left us only 10 minutes to drive back to our work, which is 12 minutes from Masi's.

We didn't have the time to eat because of their unprofessional and terrible service! So we had to save it for later. When we were able to actually eat our pizza (about 2 hours later), we discovered that they messed up our order as well! The pizza wasn't even that good; their sauce is oddly sweet.

My colleague and I shared our negative experience with our other colleagues (about 20 other people), and if the owner happens to be reading this, please reconsider how you operate your establishment. Your staff needs to respect other people's time and stay true...

I typically don’t leave reviews but I felt compelled to write one on this occasion. We ordered two medium pizzas (one cheese and one Masi’s special without mushrooms) and two orders of wings (one 15 pc boneless one 12pc regular) last night, on Thursday 9/24 at around 7:00 pm. After we picked up and got home, we opened the wings and, much to our surprise, both sets of wings were boneless and were mixed with fried mushrooms dipped in wing sauce. I didn’t mind much because I love fried mushrooms but I cannot say the same for my wife, who was the reason we ordered BBQ wings. One would think there was a reason we ordered the Masi’s special pizza without mushrooms.

The real rub is that we paid full price and tipped on a pickup order when the wings came with about 1/2 fried mushrooms and no dipping sauces, carrots, etc... I understand maybe they were low on product, but I would have preferred to have known up front rather than given something we didn’t order. I probably won’t order Masi’s again, which is a shame because the pizza and the real wings we got were...

Changed rating to 5 Stars. Applaud the successful effort to improve the Italian Beef and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Was able to order a couple extra Au Jus for the generous serving of Italian Beef on the sandwich. Steak burger-- YES, still really good. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo-- trusting Masi revised the sauce to make it more creamy smooth and not so thick. Traditional pizza-- more like NY style crust, good savory flavor and texture-- not too doughy (I know this is Chicagoland, but lived in NY, what can I say). Generous with ingredients and has always been fresh. Never had the deep dish or stuffed, but it looks delicious in the menu highlights pictures online. Calamari, breaded mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, and strawberry cheesecake-- very yummy. All their salads have been excellent-- never been disappointed with any of the salads. They certainly have many more menu items that I have not tried. I look forward to one day being able to...
