Pull into downtown Dunedin on Friday or Saturday by auto or bike, as so many do, and you'll somehow find yourself craving barbecue. That's Eli's subliminal advertising at work, enveloping you in the scent of his his perfect BBQ! The location may be a little off Main St, but you'll find him. Just follow your nose to where Skinner St crosses the Pinellas Trail. As for the menu, if there's a line, step up and grab a recycled paper one to select your options while you wait, and hope those in front of you don't get the last of what you want! (They do run out, and then they close.) The ribs, sauce, beans, pulled pork, slaw and sausage are fantastic; as good as we've ever had. I have been eying this place for months now. Finally went about an hour before closing. Very cute, very old and small building. There are but a few tables outside under a big tree that gives you plenty of shade. There was a line but it went pretty fast. The paper menu helped me decide what I wanted while I was in line. The front lady that took my order was so nice, funny and chatty, loved her. People seemed very pleased with their foods. I chose a full rack of ribs. I had no idea how big these ribs were. We did not get any sides since we are not crazy about baked beans. The hot sauce was good but barely hot. I thought that the ribs were under seasoned and a little dry, it really needed lots of sauce. If u want some 'REAL BBQ' this is where you must go....every taste bud will lights up...sorry if your vegan or on a no meat diet because the food here will make you dream about it ...its outstanding !!!
