📛Visited evening 11/30/24 and opened a bar tab with my credit card advising I would pay cash when I close the tab📛
📛End of the evening the bill came and we paid the bill in full in cash and also gave a $20 tip. When we left the bar staff also took the full payment from my card and tried to take it a 3rd time again the following day📛
Called the bar following day as soon as it opened at 12pm to advise the payment had been taken from my card after we paid cash and Brooklyn the bartender assured us the manager would sort this and call us back the same day.
A week later we have not had any reply from the manager or owner or anyone else even after more than 6 direct messages sent to the bar that have all been read on their messenger account.
I will be contacting my bank to inform them of the fraud (at first I thought it was just an honest mistake but obviously not if they didn’t call back as Brooklyn assured they would and they have also read all my messages without reply)
STAY CLEAR OF THESE THIEVES & DEFINITELY DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CARD DETAILS TO PAY YOUR TAB
⛔️YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED⛔️
More than a week now after I received a message on Facebook saying Jade the bar GM would be in contact shifts would be sorted they have decided to block me on messenger and NO reply has been received. Total Rats 🐀 they think they can steal money and I won’t follow it up. 🚫STAY CLEAR OF THEISE THIEVES🚫
My bank have said that the bank will refund me and open a case with the bar for a refund.
The bar thinks blocking me on Facebook and messenger will stop me following this through to resolution, it won’t and the rest of my party have still to leave a review too there was five of us in total.
UTTERLY DISGUSTING HOW FLANAGANS BAR DUNEDIN CAN THINK THEY CAN DO THIS WITHOUT...
Read moreGreat little watering hole ...even on a Thursday night we had to wait for an opening to sit, so that should tell ya something... but some younger guys I would guess were in their early 20’s said they were cashing out and gave up their stools at the bar for us...(many thanks) My husband and I had been frequent patrons for years ago but moved away, moved back but still to far to enjoy frequently but now back in the mix. Great bar, great service, superb pours on our double Jameson on the rocks orders, the food? Eh...but traditional Irish food is truly an acquired taste...the bangers and mash, not my thing but my husband loves...fries with Guinness gravy well you can’t go wrong with that...dab about some malt vinegar on top and dip away...great nibble on while drinking! Shepherd’s pie small serving for the price, I can make it at home but heck, I go out so I don’t have to make it...the live music is hit or miss; some fellas are on point with their covers while others ought not to be performing live but I guess after several rounds everyone sounds good lol! Overall great place! Certainly worth a trip to and happy it will be back in our mix now that we are close enough to enjoy...a lot of great places in downtown, a lot of new ones I can’t wait to try but happy this is our go...
Read moreVery disappointing St. Patrick's Day Celebration this year. After spending the last 15 years enjoying the day there, our group couldn't believe all the changes they made to ruin a good thing. In previous years we would all take the day off, set up early right out front of Flanagans and spend the entire day listening to all of the great Irish entertainment. This year Flanagans made it clear that they did not want anyone near their location and preferred everyone to stay at the park which totally took away from the atmosphere. Why Why Why? What we saw were multiple vendors set up in front including 101.5 playing a mixture of rap, hip hop, and other music that had nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day which ruined it for our group. Was it for money reasons renting out space to the vendors, who knows. If this continues, then our group will be looking for another place to celebrate because the set up ruined it...
