Pho'Edin seemed promising, given the positive reviews and the "laid back" atmosphere/vibe we were greeted with upon arrival; we walked out extremely disappointed. We dine in Dunedin fairly frequently, enjoy the quirkiness of the local restaurants and have passed this eatery on the Pinellas trail many times and decided to give it a shot on a Sunday afternoon. The service was beyond subpar; a young female cashier who was non-engaging, un-knowledgable and quite simply unenthusiastic about anything failed to provide any information regarding the items on the menu...... Alright, then.... I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, green Boba, standard beef broth Pho bowl with chicken and vegetarian pho bowl. What followed was a payment and abrupt tablet/square reader in my face stating "How much to tip: 15, 25, 30, custom". I gave them the benefit of the doubt and believed the dishes would leave a better taste in my mouth than the service, so I gave her a 15% tip. She handed me a notification buzzer, and we waited. And waited. And waited. 30 minutes elapsed when the spring rolls were finally ready, followed by another 15 for the vegetarian pho and another 10 for the chicken/beef broth pho, no apology, explanation, just a handoff of the food and no eye contact. Another 2 - 3 parties (1-3 people) were at the restaurant while we waited and received their Boba tea orders within 20 minutes of arrival.... 20 min.... Boba tea. I'll stop beating the dead horse on the service; it was bad. The spring rolls/peanut sauce, was alright, nothing special. I hand roll spring rolls/rice paper myself so I know how much of a pain they are to make. Pho came out at staggered time intervals with noodles, sliced jalapeños, tofu cubes (vegetarian pho), chicken?(beef broth pho), 4x beansprouts, sriracha and hoisin sauce (fairly plain toppings). Both the vegetarian pho and beef pho broth were flavorless, no essence of star of annise, clove, cinnamon, ginger, really anything. After attempting to swallow pride for the 3rd time, eating a piece of the chicken? I put down my spoon and we were finished. We were nothing but polite to the two girls working the kitchen/cash register, tolerant of the wait, but $40.00 for that experience is not something I will be repeating. I hope they can iron out the kinks because its a neat place but as is I do...
Read moreI really don't like to leave bad reviews, but I feel like this one is warranted. My husband and I decided to order dinner from the resturant through Uber eats. It took over an hour for the food to even be picked up. Whether thats the fault of the resturant or the delivery person, we'll never know. My issue comes from the food being delivered ice cold, and in cardboard boxes. We ordered Pho and the summer rolls. The summer rolls were good, tasted fresh, etc. The peanut sauce left me wanting more out of it, it was just boring. The pho noodles, meat, etc. came in takeout cardboard boxes. Now I'm all for recycled goods and stuff, but when I'm ordering takeout, im ordering with the expectation that I won't have to dirty my own dishes. Pretty hard to eat soup out of boxes. The meats were over done, the broth was okay at best, and my husband's instructions were ignored when he asked to leave the pepper out of his bowl. As mentioned eariler, the food also came to us ice cold and I had to heat the broth up on the stove. Now, I cant put all the blame for that on the resturant because it was delivery and that can happen. All in all, we are left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I feel like I just dropped $55 for nothing. We unfortunately will not be dining here again. I leave this review not to be disrespectful but in the hopes that someone important will see it and take the complaints we have brought forth into...
Read moreFirst off I have eaten here before this and decided to go again because I enjoyed it the first time. But when I went again I was welcomed with an unfriendly employee who was absolutely rude and gave me and my friends attitude when we asked an estimated time on how long the food would take. She shot back and said with a tone “I don’t know I won’t know till your foods done and you get it”. Then my friend asked for a cup a water while we were waiting for our food and wanted a straw for her water and politely asked for a straw. The employee proceeded to throw the straw at my friend out the window. Then we came back 30 minutes later and asked when the food would be done and she was like you can wait. This girl must be new or something, a teenager looking for a job and a very unhappy person with brown shorter hair and a nose piercing. When our food finally came out it came out all together 30 minutes later, food and drinks. The food was okay it was nothing special and the drinks were disgusting. I got the thai tea which tasted like straight water, my friend got the taro tea, that was so sweet and nasty we both dumped our drinks out. I would not recommend this place whatsoever there are MANY better places in dunedin that will give you wonderful food and service and not...
