Update: This place is so good, I’ve gone back almost every week since my first visit. Great place to load up on protein if you workout, but that’s not why I’m updating my review. The guys that own this place are awesome. One week I didn’t feel like cooking so I got a little variety, ribs being on of the items I got. They put it in a foil roasting pan so I could reheat them later. Today I went in for a little brisket to go with some stuff at home. They asked if I wanted any burnt ends, I usually don’t go for them as I’m not a huge fan of all the char. They gave me one to try…now I know why they sell out so early on Friday. Fricken deliciously amazing! I can’t focus on work after eating them. LOL Give these guys a try, you won’t be disappointed…but if you are, please bring it to their attention so they can try and make it right instead a 2 star review but never giving them an opportunity to correct it.
Original review: I’ve tried a half dozen bbq places in the area and none of them compare to here. This place has great meat, good sides, sweet tea is perfect - not too sweet. The brisket is so tender and flavorful, might be some of the best I’ve ever had. The other bbq places in the area have one decent thing, but not consistent with all of their products being really good like Q’s is. My new go to place for bbq! Oh, and the guys running the place are fun. Thank you for the great meal!!...
Read moreStopped by Q Southern BBQ for the first time this afternoon. THIS is the BBQ that Dunedin has been missing. Could barely breathe by the time we left. We had The Cackalacky (NC BBQ), Brisket, Sausage, Mac-n-Cheese, Fried Pickles, Collard Greens, Baked Beans, and Potato Salad. Then, somehow, managed to eat Apple Cobbler. NOTHING DISAPPOINTED
As a lover of Southern-style BBQ, I was beyond excited to try the Cacalacky at Q's Southern BBQ. The presentation alone was enough to make my mouth water, with a generous pile of juicy pulled pork topped with a tangy slaw and drizzled with South Carolina Gold.
The first bite was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The pulled pork was tender and smoky, with just the right amount of savory and spice. The addition of the South Carolina Gold sauce added a subtle sweetness that perfectly balanced out the smoky flavor of the pork. The slaw added a nice crunch and a refreshing tanginess, making every bite a delicious combination of textures and flavors.
Overall, the Cacalacky is a must-try for anyone who loves Southern-style BBQ. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot-on, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. I will definitely be returning to Q's Southern BBQ to enjoy this dish...
Read moreLook, so the food is incredible. A little pricy, but not outrageous for the quality. But here's my problem. It does not matter what I do, getting barbecue sauce with my meal is ALWAYS a struggle. Every single time I order I specify that I would like barbecue sauce, how much, and what kind. I even specifically invite the restaurant to charge me extra with no restrictions. Every time I have picked up in person I have directly asked, "is there sauce in the bag?" Every time the answer is a direct unambiguous "yes." And every time there has not been sauce. The first time I didn't look until I got home. Now I ask, then check the bag right in front of them, so when there's no sauce I can say something. No shame about it at all. Ordering delivery is lottery, even if I ask for sauce. Will there be sauce? Who knows? If so, what kind? Who knows?! If so, how much? Who knows?!! I literally do not understand if this is some sort of principle thing, or if I'm not in on a joke, or what. I don't get it. I will pay extra for the sauce if that's what it takes but no??? Idk. But the food...
