My family and I love Budi's! Their food taste great and they have a nice variety of options on their menu if you aren't into Sushi. My family and I have been here a number of times since they opened and have had the opportunity to try a lot of different items on the menu and I can honestly say I haven't had anything here that I didn't enjoy. Their salads are robust, with a nice mix of ingredients to make a pretty salad and not just a handful of bagged lettuce soaked in dressing. My wife has had their Ramen and usually can't finish it because they give you very hardy portions and don't skimp. I frequently get sushi and let me tell you their nigiri portions won't disappoint. I can honestly say that I've never been to another sushi restraunt in the greater Atlanta area and received fresher or healthier portions of fish on nigiri I've ordered. My daughter likes the kids rice and chicken poppers and also has ordered the miso soup where they've taken out the nori at her request (pretty cool they prepare the miso without the seaweed based on a special request from a child). The staff is always super friendly and very welcoming. Budi's has a laid back neighborhood vibe that keeps me coming back again and again. They may not have their liquor license but not to worry, there's a bottle shop a couple doors down and they are perfectly okay with BYOB and don't charge a corkage fee. We have been known to pop into the bottle shop and grab a bottle of wine before we get a table at Budi's. I've ordered food to-go when I didn't have time to dine in and they offer curbside delivery as an option. On those lazy days where you don't want to get out of your sweatpants but still have a craving for a nice sushi dinner their to-go food is always a solid option; plus they prepare to-go meals pretty quickly from my experience. If you haven't been here before do yourself a favor and check them out, they might become your new favorite sushi joint in town; they most certainly became...

Update again: Still love this place, did a double date tonight and had the spider roll, dragon roll, and the OMG roll (I think).

Our friends enjoyed their food as well, and it was once again a wonderful experience! We ordered an Ocean Pyramid (now $32) and a side of sushi rice to go, to eat tomorrow.

Update: Still delicious, but they no longer have the spinning wheel roulette game. Got the Tony Stark and Ocean pyramid with a side of sushi rice and it was very good!!

Original review: Exceptional experience!! We went during a weekday towards the end of lunch (to try to avoid crowds), and the food is AMAZING!

We got the lunch special tempura crab roll with avocado, unagi nigiri, and a spring roll (about $13 total) and then we got the Ocean Pyramid to share ($27, but worth it!!).

The Ocean Pyramid isn't as big as I thought might be, so I took a picture with my hand for scale-- but it was definitely enough food for two people. Rather than being mostly rice with a little fish, it was a LOT of good sushi grade fish with a small bed of rice at the bottom. 😍 This meal was perfect with an extra side order of sushi rice ($2.50), which gave us the balance of rice to fish we wanted.

We still had some food left over, and the food was so good I will definitely be back for more! I only wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular meal. 💕

I really want to try their ramen selection as well, they have so many delicious options on their menu that I can't wait to experience!

Tldr: Get the ocean pyramid with an extra side of sushi rice!

P.S. If you spend $50 or more, they'll let you play a roulette game and you can win gift cards to use for future meals! Great way to bring return business, but also just a fun reward for spending money at this wonderful local...

The wifey had a hankering for non-raw fish sushi and we thought this would be a good place to check out for the first time. It's located in a vary spacious strip mall development, with ample parking and best of all during these times, outdoor seating! It happened to be a glorious fall day in spring so we took advantage of the outdoor setup! The inside is very spacious and clean. We ordered tempura shrimp and calamari, the wifey got 3 rolls of sushi, and I got a pokemon bowl with "spicy" chicken nuggets (they call it something else but as you'll see in the picture, they are practically nuggets!) for a grand total of $65. Yikes that's steep! No drinks! As for the food, the tempura shrimp and rings were spot on! Light fluffy batter, good seasoning, and soft to the bite. Excellent appetizer. I can't be as effusive with the pokemon bowl, which cost $14 for a bowl of rice with cold cut veggies and a few flavorless chicken nuggets. The texture was very good again, they have the frying down, but it had no seasoning inside, and a sprinkle of chili powder it seems. They include two sauces and you need it to impart any sort of flavor. Overall a pleasant experience, the service was great, very solicitous and attentive employees checking on you. The only reason I deduct a star is the prices. You are not getting your money's worth in my opinion. Either improve the protein in the pokemon bowl or...

We had a party of 2 at 7:45 on a Friday night. There was only one other party dining in, but they were doing a lot of to-go orders, which is their namesake I guess! It’s BYOB. Pretty casual - my husband wore athletic shorts. Super great service. The sushi chef was so friendly and made conversation! Be sure to check in on Yelp because as of 8/27/21, you get a free order of Veggie Spring Rolls! They gave us a little taste of cucumber and imitation crab, compliments of the chef. Nice touch! We split everything and were plenty full after. Here’s what we got: - Veggie Spring Rolls (3 for $5): Good! - Ocean Pyramid ($27): This was more than just an Instagrammable dish, though it was very beautiful. It was so good! They were SO generous with the fish. At $27, it seems like a really good deal to me. - Peter Parker ($15.75): The pieces were giant! I liked it! I do wish they had more of a selection of raw rolls. A lot of rolls on the menu are cooked. Amazing service and great food! It’s worth it to treat yourself here! We will definitely be back!
