Was at another restaurant across the street to get a beer and watch a game while I waited for service on my car. I talked to an older gentleman behind the bar concerning a game to watch and get that beer I mentioned above. He pretty much ignored me and mumbled something as he walked away.
I remembered another restaurant across the street but could not recall itās name. I Goggled ārestaurants around meā to find it was Marlowās Tavern. I got up from my seat at the bar and walked slowly out and no employee said a word as I just walked out the door.
I walked across the street to Marlowās. I came to the bar and asked about a game that might be on. I was helped by three different employees there. Karly the bartender was AMAZING and served up a cold beer. Evan, a server was EXTREMELY professional and friendly. SUPER nice and sincere. And Rachel, the manager was just as kind and considerate even though her Ohio State Buckeyes were losing at the time.
There was conversation concerning bread puddingā¦.out comes a plate. āTry ours, itās the bestā I was told by Evan. It was also on the house. šš
Evan, Karly and Rachel make Marlowās Tavern a restaurant I will visit again for sure. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!!
Stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fiance and I had just moved to the area and were looking for somewhere new to eat. We decided to give Marlow's a try. We arrived at 5 and the place was dead. This made me a little hesitant going in to the experience.
My fiance had the shrimp and grits, a southern classic. Marlow's had an interesting twist on the dish with grit cakes instead of the usual. The cakes were lightly fried and had an excellent creamy texture. The shrimp were cooked well and over all the dish was delicious.
I had the French Dip sandwich and fries. The sandwich was fairly large which left me very full. The bread was soft and the meat was tender. I would place the dish among my favorite French Dips.
I appreciated the presentation of the dishes, everything was neat and looked delicious. There were no unnecessary garnish, which I appreciate.
The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice. Our service was great, she was very attentive and we were not left wanting for anything.
I would absolutely recommend this establishment. It exceeded all of our expectations and proved that my hesitation was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService was absolutely horrendous. We waited for over 10 minutes to be greeted and when the server finally arrived he was slow and inattentive. Appetizers didnāt come out for over 25 minutes and once they did it took another 20 for our waiter to take our order.(a 2 person party) we have been to this location many times and it seems as if every time it gets worse and the service gets slower. Iām not sure what is going on and why everytime I try to enjoy a nice meal at this specific Marlows Tavern it seems as if the staff are almost incapable of doing the simple job of thereās to take a order and bring out the food. I have been in the service industry at well and if I showed my guests the hospitality that is shown at Marlows in dunwoody village then I honestly donāt think I would have made a single tip in my entirety of working. Itās absolutely ridiculous and something needs to change. Would also be happy to talk to a different manager or owner over the phone or in person at any point to discuss the absolute horrible service...
