We've visited this Noodles location numerous times, and I'm taking that into consideration with this 3-star rating. If I was rating today's visit only, it would be 1-star.
Normally it's been a solid 4-star experience here. Decent food and ok service. Today was not anywhere close to that, however. Cashier was nice enough and took our order quickly and accurately.
The coke freestyle had no regular soda available, as it was obviously out of HFCS. I let the cashier know exactly that none of the regular sodas were working. She said she'd have someone check it. 15 minutes later, someone finally checked it, rebooted it and ended up with none of the sweetened drinks working at all (regular or diet). There were also no regular cup lids out but I didn't bother asking since the soda machine wasn't working. They did offer us any bottled drink we wanted, which we gladly accepted.
While waiting for the soda machine they brought our food. My kids' meals were perfectly fine, as was my wife's pesto cavatappi. I ordered the BBQ mac, substituting parmesan chicken instead of the pork. First, there were no crispy jalapeños on it, and worse, every single piece of the chicken was so tough to the point that I literally could not bite through it. I couldn't tell if it was overcooked or still slightly raw.
In the end, I dug the chicken out of the dish and ate the remaining macaroni. I didn't complain about the food because we had a scheduled event that we couldn't be late for, and finally, most of the employees seemed more interested in conversing with their visiting friends than actually doing the jobs they should have been doing.
The best part was when we were cleaning up our table, the person who tried to fix the Coke machine told one of her coworkers what happened when she tried to fix it, and the coworker said "oh, I know what's wrong with it!" Why couldn't they have asked her right away?
I'm sure we'll come back here again as it is near our house, so I hope next time is a much...
Read moreThis had to be my worst experience at a noodles and company. We ordered our food and asked for meals. I then stood there waiting for cups for 5 minutes. When the server finally acknowledged me, he said he didn't put in the meal, but just rang us up separately for the items and didn't add drinks. He then told me I had to pay again if I wanted drinks, but then didn't account for that being in a meal price and tried to charge us full price after we already paid for the meal. Then the other worker told him to adjust it and I have no idea if it was accurate. We then sat down to wait for our names to be called. After ten minutes, I walked up to the counter and our food was just sitting there, no one had called for us. The food was good, but we were missing some stuff and the extra cheese we paid for was such a small portion that it didn't even add to the meal. We decided to then leave and no one even raised an eyebrow as we walked out. They weren't overly busy so I'm not sure why we where treated as an annoyance, but e will not...
Read moreNoodles and Company is a great concept, but lately I've been feeling like they're not quite what they used to be. My recent experience is an example. I took my son to dinner there, and we ordered our favorite dinners. Tried to find a place to sit. One booth was missing a table entirely; another had a table but the upholstery was torn and funky looking. The spaces up front were near the door (and it was very cold that day) but we found a reasonable seat. Our food arrived, and they must have changed the stroganoff recipe, because it was frankly disappointing. The steak was in too-larger chunks, the noodles were slightly undercooked, and the sauce wasn't as plentiful as it used to be. It all tasted okay, it just wasn't as good as I remembered it being. The price was right, and for the price, it's hard to find places these days that will serve your food on China with non-plastic flatware. Just... Wow, Noodles: you've got to get your head back...
