TRAUMATIC day here today, which is super unfortunate, because we eat here weekly. We love Ashton and Laura who are fantastic at customer service. No one would let us speak with a manager today, so we feel compelled to comment here.
No one greeted us for at least 20 minutes. The rest of the tables were getting continuous refills and at least some updates from a haughty waitress. She glanced at our table numerous times, and heavily sighed or groaned each time she made eye contact. We were eventually greeted directly by her (Steelers hat) around 30 minutes in, but only after she greeted a brand new table, who already got their drink orders.
We attempted to be friendly, but she wasn't. We started naming drinks and she rudely interrupted that we needed to put in our entire order in, so she "could punch it all in at one time." No problem as we had already been there a half hour and were ready.
She brings back all but one of our drinks, so we must request it. She rolled her eyes, and said "you've got all the drinks here." We reminded her of our order. She brings back the missing drink and slams it on the table.
We then had no interaction with our waitress for 2 hours total. At 1 hour, she was able to flip the same booth TWICE with people newly sat, having eaten, and left. But we couldn't even get refills. I had to go to the counter numerous times to refill our coffee and water.
At 1.5 hour, staff eventually brought 1 meal out to us, and another meal trickled out 15 minutes later. We still have not been able to even speak to our waitress again. At this point, having to serve ourselves, it was utter chaos. Food is getting cold while we're waiting to eat together. We had to haggle with the neighboring booth (who also were ignored) to get additional creamer for our table. Amidst the stress and chaos, our baby grabbed at a hot coffee cup.
Meanwhile, the neighboring table, is on its THIRD rotation with a party of 6, getting all of their food (at the same time). The waitress asked them kindly, what else she can do for them. As she leaves them, I interject, "so sorry, but is there anyway we could get some silverware and refills, too?" She huffs and puffs, and says "just a minute, okay!?"
When she comes back 10 minutes later, she says "you have silverware on the table." Yes ma'am, but we are one short. She sighs heavily and throws one down. I tell her we're also missing 2 other meals, and can we please have refills. She is increasingly annoyed. She then comes back with a duplicate meal of one we already have.
The final straw is we get a third meal at the next 20 minute mark, and it's short on chicken, but we know we can't ask her for help.
We ask to see a manager at the counter, but the cashier either won't bring us a manager, or the manager just doesn't care to see us. I explain that we still don't have our food after 2 hours, and we now need to go to urgent care with the baby. She says, well it's busy. And I say of course, we totally get that, we've been here lots of busy mornings, and we are super patient. We just have been treated awfully today and none of us have eaten, At this moment, our waitress comes up behind me at the counter, slams a plate down, yells "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED!?" and storms off.
We are super generous tippers and are actually very patient people, because we've all worked in restaurants. We know things happen, and we don't expect perfection. But today, the lack of communication, and attitude from the start, made this situation far worse than it needed to be. We've had this waitress one other time and it was also a very negative experience. Simply being kind and letting us know you may have forgotten to put our order in, would have gone such a long way.
Please give Ashton and Laura raises as they are pulling such heavy duty there. If we ever return, we hope we can sit with them and not be treated like we're burdening you and your establishment. We understand you do lot of business and our two families likely don't matter, but it may worth changing a few habits in order to improve...
Read moreWent through the drive thru and ordered 1 cheese burger plate and 3 sides. Was told to pull around to space #9. Which must be the land of messed up orders, because I read someone else had the same experience as I did. Waited 30 mins and saw the waitress bring out multiple orders to other cars. Decided to go in and asked about my order. They had the 3 sides sitting out waiting, but no burger. They went to the back and asked, came back and was told the ticket messed up didn’t go through. Was asked if I wanted to wait for a burger to be cooked. I told them no waited long enough my 8 month old son was already crying his head off, after sitting and waiting 30 mins, I didn’t have time to wait any longer. Said I would just get the sides and go. They said cash or card…. They really expected me to pay after they messed my order up and waited 30 mins already and probably would have been longer if I didn’t go in and check on the order. I told her I thought the order should be complimentary since I had to wait and they messed the order up. She responds oh no we can’t do that. With no apology or anything. I said ok then keep it. Decided to talk to the manager after almost walking out. Told her the situation and she was nice about what had happened and gave me the 3 sides. I can’t believe I even had to ask for this. Not all, but most kids these days under 25 have no remorse or care about other peoples time. If you are going to eat here, I do not recommend the...
Read moreMy friend and I decided to try this popular place. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the food and all around experience. We ordered the lunch specials, which were smothered chicken with cheese & mushrooms and two sides with a free dessert. The chicken wasn't a chicken breast (like you would think), but 3 chicken strips put together to look like a chicken breast. It tasted just ok. No seasonings on it, pretty bland. The sides were collared greens, hush puppies, corn and mashed potatoes. I think the only thing we enjoyed was the corn. The hush puppies were horrible! Not sure what flavor they were trying to achieve, but this southern classic was an abomination! The grease it was fried in must have been ancient. The dessert was peach cobbler...but not sure where they got the recipe from, because this was NOT your traditional peach cobbler! The cobbler itself was like a gummy glob! My spoon stood straight up in it. Not to mention there were only little bits of cobbler. The waitress was sweet and helpful. She apologized for the meal, and gave us a discount. However, the manager didn't believe me about the hush puppies and she decided to try the ones I had on my plate!! I couldn't believe my eyes! No words for that one! My friend and I had to laugh at the experience. We figured what else could we do?? So, personally (and my friend) will not be dining at...
