Ginger Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in East Hempfield Township

We had been here once a couple years ago and thought the food wasn't too special for us to come back. We did have a good experience with our server that night. Yesterday, we decided to give Ginger Asian Kitchen another chance thinking we might have ordered something the restaurant didn't specialize in. We did not have a good experience. Frankly, it was quite shocking. We came in at 8:35 pm and the restaurant's posted closing time was at 9:30 pm. We walked in and saw a man at the register counting money looking like he was closing up. Before we even had the chance to ask about their closing time, he looked up, saw us, threw the money stack on the counter, and CURSED. We were so shocked that we just turned around and walked out of there immediately. We remember that he was at Pho Pasteur 3(a nearby Vietnamese restaurant) a while back. He was very unfriendly and was giving attitude the minute we sat down. He didn't seem like he changed at all. After our experience, I started reading the reviews. It looks like some customers also had the same issue with him. We tried, but unfortunately, we won't come...

We regularly visit this restaurant for Pho soup which is one of the best in the city. This week we decided to order a variety of dishes through DoorDash to check out what else was on the menu. Everything was delicious. Presentation to go wasn't anything to speak of, but it was packaged well and easy to put together. Unfortunately, we dug into the food so quickly, we forgot to take pictures when it was dished out. The shrimp spring rolls were wrapped rice and shrimp, nothing great until you added on the sauce which made all the difference. The Pho Ap chao Chay (stir fried veggies with tofu and pan fried noodles) were yummy. The noodles were a surprise as they were fried like a patty and very chewy. Great for dipping in the juice. Beef stew (SP4) was wonderful. Lots of stew meat and carrots. I prefer it with rice noodles but the egg noodles we got were very good. Also had the Mi Xao Mem which was so tasty. The sauce was perfect with it. We were looking for a variation of vegetables, meat and noodles and these all hit the spot. Will be going back again to try some of the grilled...

Today, I took the whole family there for the very first time to try. Was very impressed when I entered the door. We got seated very quick and served very quick. Coincidentally, one of the server or manager there was one if the twins had serve at another restaurant that my family had always been to. The both were excellent in customer service, very sharp, quick, friendly, and informative. Hands down to the twins brother. Keep up the good services, then the restaurant will grow large at no time. You can make mistakes in any customer service field but as long as you learn fro it and redeem yourself. I'm in a customer service field myself as well and that's what I did and it always work. For those of you, whom didn't have a good experience here before, come back and give them second chance, you won't be turn down again. Keep up the good works you guys, we'll be back at your restaurant again. Good foods and great services...
